Used on a petrol lawn mower , I have Arthritis in my hand and constantly pulling the tiny knob supplied with the machine caused immense pain . I swapped it for this and it's made a world of difference, it spurred me on to clean and service the machine , which took me a few weeks and now it starts on the first pull .I can see a few rolling their eyes , thinking all it needed was a service but not the case , the fact my fingers aren't split over the pulling handle and I can make a fist is a game changer and having two is brilliant . Excellent to use, your whole hand can be used to pull start petrol engines instead of just a couple of fingers. Kick backs don't hurt your fingers like those small toggles. Excellent for people with arthritis in there hands or older people

Big handle but very useful for pulling a big capacity engine starter. The only downside is that some of the moulding lines in the handle can feel a little abrasive, so consider sanding down any uncomfortable bits.

I bought a petrol strimmer but was having difficulty gripping the recoil pull handle due to my age and arthritic hands. Easy swap, just make sure you either grip the rope with locking pliers, or pull out a good length of rope and knot it whilst you swap the handle, otherwise there is a danger of losing both the end of the rope and the spring tension of the recoil mechanism. I speak from bitter experience! Removing the recoil mechanism and trying to retension the spring is a challenge in itself. Took me ages to put it right. Having said that, now it’s back together, this handle makes a world of difference to starting my machine. Also ensure you put a big enough knot in the end of the rope where it sits in the handle. I knotted mine through a small nut which I then forced into the cavity in the handle. This will ensure the rope does not pull through the handle in the future.

Used twice then top snapped off. Would have prefered a single pack but better quality.

Seems to be great quality, works like it should. Only time will tell how long it lasts. I bought the double pack, much better price and also to have a spare one .

I used this on my Honda powered lawn mower to replace the original that was a small pull handle that broke. This is a big improvement over the one that was on the Honda engine. Much larger, more comfortable, easier to grip and to pull and is stronger and appears more durable than the original. Highly recommended!
