B&G Hamburger Relish (1 per pack) 10oz

As a California native, I grew up on Bob’s Big Boy hamburgers with their distinct flavor from their famous red relish. You can still get the relish in their remaining restaurants if you order a burger, but that’s it. They don’t sell it for home use. I came across this version from B&G many years ago, and it’s the closest thing I’ve found that matches the flavor. It’s both sweet and tangy and it pairs perfectly with mayo on your hamburger. If you’re a fan of Bob’s Big Boy and you want a great red relish that will remind you eating one of their burgers at home this is a great choice.

The closest flavor to a Big Boy hamburger I can get! A bit pricey, but, worth it to me.

As a child of the 50s, and until I was about 45, most pickle manufacturers made "hotdog" relish, which was green (or yellow if the kind that was mixed with mustard), and "Hamburger" relish, which red. Hamburger relish is not the same as mixing catsup with sweet pickle relish. It is a unique flavor, bringing out the meatiness of the the burger. I don't know why manufacturers stopped making it, but I missed it. Then, one happy day, I searched on Amazon and found B&G Hamburger Relish. It is just as I remembered, and it is pricey. But I don't care - IT'S WORTH IT!! Give it a try, you won't be sorry.

I’ve eaten this , what my mom called hamburger relish. For probably 50 years. The stores stopped carrying it. I on a whim went looking for it here on Amazon , to my complete shock it was there even though I could only remember the B & ? , I ordered immediately. , I actually ordered 2 one to give to my aunt as she also hasn’t had it in 20 years. . I’m vegan I put it on my vegan burger. My aunt likes it on fish , idk bc Idt eat fish but it’s good on a spoon 😂. It’s a win and I will continue to buy it as long as I can get it. I plan to stock up just in case.

If you like hamburger relish, this is really good stuff. But expensive I thought.
