Do you really want to purchase?
What stands out (the strengths) 1. Feature-rich for the price The V1 Max offers wireless connectivity (Bluetooth + 2.4 GHz dongle) and wired USB-C, a 75% layout (compact but still with arrow keys), a knob, hot-swappable switches, and customizable firmware (via QMK/VIA). One reviewer called it “a terrific value packed with features and great battery life.” 2. Gasket-mount construction & decent typing feel Compared to more basic tray-mounted designs, the V1 Max uses a gasket mount (which gives a slightly softer, more refined key-feel) and includes internal foam for sound/feel dampening. 3. Good build and customization options Hot-swappable switches: you can replace switches without soldering. Double-shot PBT keycaps (for durability) and support for both Windows & macOS layouts. The wireless 2.4GHz dongle supports up to 1000 Hz polling rate (according to one review) which is a nice touch for gamers/typists. 4. Good battery life (when managed well) The review states the V1 Max uses a 4,000 mAh battery and got ~200+ hours of use when backlighting was off. 5. Very good value for what you get For the combination of features, layout and wireless + hot-swap + customization, many feel it punches above its price. One review titled it “The New Budget King”. --- ⚠️ What could be better (the trade-offs) 1. Case and acoustic feel are not “premium” Some users note the case is plastic (not metal) and there is a “slightly hollow” sound or lighter feel compared to premium boards. 2. Keycaps / legends and RGB visibility The stock keycaps are decent, but some feel they are a little thin or light for the price. The RGB backlighting is south-facing and the legends aren’t shine-through, so in darker room lighting you may find key-labels hard to read. 3. Wireless mode vs Bluetooth performance While the 2.4GHz dongle mode is strong (1000Hz polling), Bluetooth mode may have lower polling/latency. One review of the wired version (V1) noted the wireless version (V1 Max) maintains 1000Hz over the dongle but Bluetooth is lower. 4. Ergonomics / profile One review mentioned the keyboard has a fairly tall profile and recommended a wrist rest for longer typing sessions. --- 🧮 My verdict: Is it worth it? If I were summarizing for you (given your needs and context): yes — the V1 Max is a very good all-round mechanical keyboard especially for someone who wants customization, wireless + wired flexibility, and the compact 75% layout. It’s particularly suitable if: You do a mix of typing, possibly gaming or macro work. You like the idea of customizing keycaps/switches later. You prefer a less expensive but still solid board rather than ultra-premium aluminium builds. If you’re super picky about acoustics, want metal chassis, or absolutely top-tier sound/feel, you might find some compromises here. But for most users it’s a strong pick. Given you’re in Managua/Nicaragua (so shipping/import costs might matter) I’d check local availability + warranty/support. But assuming you can get it, I think it’s a great buy.

Not cheap but a great solid 75% keyboard easy for Mac users.
Review from a normal person non-keyboard enthusiast. TLDR: It's great, wish it had black keys, but worth it especially for mac users. I'm not a keyboard enthusiast. If you need a $200+ custom keyboard this review isn't aimed at you. I'm just needed a mechanical keyboard for a mac that was wireless. This hit it out of the park for my needs. It comes with mac keys which most other comparable keyboards do not. You don't get the windows specific keys if that's your need. The 2.4ghz is great and that's all i use. I get no lag when i come back to the computer which i got with my old anker bluetooth. I can't speak for lag with this bluetooth as i haven't used the bluetooth. It comes lubed. So much that you can see the lube when you remove the keys. You can see them in the pictures. It comes with red accent keys but that's not my thing so i removed them. I went with brown switches and they have nice sound in my opinion. It's not clicky and loud or anything but it's not silent. Price it's expensive. To a normal person $100 for a keyboard is pricey. But in context of the genre of higher end keyboard that go over $200 this is considered "affordable." In that sense it's worth the price. I don't regret paying the price. It is plastic but for me it's quite weighty. It does not feel cheap. If you have to have an all metal case this won't satisfy you. But for everyone else you'll be thrilled. Great battery. After two months and 25 days of every day use on 2.4 ghz wireless, rbg off, i still have 70% battery remaining! I also love that it comes with bluetooth and 2.4 ghz dongles and a magnetic place to store both on the board. My one and only issue is on two occasions my all caps key has gotten stuck. I fixed it simply by removing the brown switch and reseating the same switch. I'm not sure why that is. It's only happened twice. Hasn't happened in about 3 weeks. Could be a bad switch but even so the issue hasn't reoccured yet. The space bar sounds hollow so i did the tape mod on it as i saw on the internet. I must say it does sound "thockier" as they say. It's less hollow. It has VIA with i wanted as an option but out the box it's so good i haven't even tried via and no need to remap. The volume is awesome. You push to mute. I use it all the time. I turned off the rgb as i like a less flashy gamer look. But it's there and it works. I wish it came with black keys but. maybe i'll buy a set of replacement keys. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars for value cause its' good but it's not cheap. It's only cheap to enthusiasts. I gave it 5 stars overall cause for me it's the best choice in a 75% if you use a mac and want to keep it near $100.

I love the key sound of this and experience of using it with Windows. I will try this with a mac and will share the experience. However, I had started to experience ghosting on some keys after just 3 months which has stopped for now but is certainly a concern for me. I will keep this comment updated if the issue reoccurs in the future within the warranty period

Coming from the Logitech MX keys mechanical, this keyboard makes me regret spending over 200 on that one and instead just getting this one, the build quality is surprisingly strong for 120$ on sale and the red keys are very satisfying and have gotten compliments from my classmates. I wish the keycaps and lights would shine through the caps for better visibility but that’s nit picking. I still have yet to determine battery life. But for someone who uses Mac and parallels on a daily basis this is your keyboard, just stop looking.

I have been locking for a small keyboard for a while, and keychron v1 just met all my needs: the 75% layout, 3 connection options, the accessories that came with the keyboard itself, the hot-swappable features of the switch and keycaps, the satisfying brown switch feedback and the sound (I used the gel tape method to make the space bar "thockier") My favorite feature of this is the USB receiver that comes with it as Bluetooth connection isn't stable with my old laptop. The down side is the height of the keyboard as my wrist was in an uncomfortable angle, but it's solved with a wrist pad. I also don't really like the colour of the keycap, but it isn't an issue because they can be customized easily. Overall, good product, I'm not a keyboard enthusiastic but it meets my needs.

be careful, customer support is basically non-existent. i've found out from some google/reddit browsing that keychron's had issues with their PCBs, unfortunately, i got a board with a faulty PCB. problems surfaced about a month in, so after the amazon exchange/return window.
