I was very excited to receive this organic almond butter, but unfortunately it was unusable. It was hard as a rock and could not even be stirred. I had to toss it. Waste of money.

Great quality

This product, from Italy, is solely ground roasted almonds. The texture is mostly smooth, and the mixture is fairly loose. It does need stirring, but given how loose it is, it’s very easy to stir. If you like the taste of roasted almonds, you’ll probably like this. One thing to consider, though, is that this is basically almonds made into a sauce. You can literally pour this. So if you’re thinking of using this to make a sandwich, be aware that it could be a little messy given that this could dribble out. Of course, you could add a little something when making a sandwich to make it stiffer. For example, I have a jar of chestnut butter, which is very stiff. Adding a little of that when putting this on a sandwich would stiffen it up so that it doesn’t dribble, and it would add a little something to the flavor. Anyway, I like this, but my enjoyment is somewhat tempered by the fact that I have a jar of another almond butter, or almond cream as this company refers to their product, that is very similar with the same loose consistency that I like better. In that case, it’s made from ground sprouted almonds instead of roasted almonds, and there is the addition of sea salt, though there is only 10mg per serving, so it’s not much. I think that has more and better flavor than this, but obviously that’s completely subjective. I’m sure others would like this one better. In either case, this is still quite good. The jar, though, is pretty small. You’ll go through this very quickly, I think.

Because it is a natural butter with no other inclusions is does require some stirring. The nut butter is a product of Italy and it has 210 calories per 2 tablespoon serving. The nutritional breakdown per serving is 17 grams fat, 7 grams carbohydrate, 4 grams fiber, 1 gram sugar (none added) and 7 grams protein. Excellent whether simply spread on crackers or added to a variety of recipes. At the time of this review in March 2024 the Best By date is 12 months in the future but dates will vary.
