Great find !
This is a great sensor for measuring distance or height and optical flow, at a great price. I am using the ( documented ) micolink protocol using a custom python driver - works like a dream . Be aware that you will need to use the windows app to switch the sensor to the desired protocol ( Micolink/Mavlink/MSP ).

good luck getting it to work
There are no "comprehensive video tutorials", I wish they simply just wrote a page on the expected data format. I don't see how this is so complicated to do for an item that you are selling and want to sell more of. It's almost like you don't care or specifically want to waste your buyers time. The protocol is older Mavlink v1 ... and not exactly it. Good luck trying to decipher what is what from dumping raw data.
