Inexpensive and Works Well.
I really just wanted something to help me make sure that my phono cartridge is lined up correctly. At time of purchase, I paid $6.99 for this. A very low price to keep my $200 cartridge aligned properly. Sure, you’re only going to use it when you replace cartridges, but again, inexpensive for peace of mind. Fairly easy to use. I had to put on 3x reading glasses to really see what I was doing, mostly because the needle is tiny.Delivered on time and in good condition.I would recommend this product.

Very nice tool for tonearm setup for best stylus vertical tracking angle
I have a very good vintage belt-drive manually operated turntable with a very good vintage tonearm that I was pretty sure I had set up properly and well years ago, but at the time there were no tonearm alignment gauges, so it was done by eye-sight. I bought this tool to check my tonearm height for parallel orientation to the vinyl record surface and was gratified to see that I had done a really good job after all, but I'm glad I bought this gauge to verify it none the less, so I know absolutely that it's set up properly for the best stylus vertical tracking angle. The block is well finished and easy to use and see through and the horizontal alignment lines are easy to see yet thin enough spaced well to enable any tonearm that is height adjustable to be set for proper height. The one thing that I would advise others who buy this is to take care to not scratch the sides as the plexiglass is somewhat fragile and can be scratched if anything abrasive contacts the sides. Other than that, I think this is a valuable tool that any vinyl record afficionado will appreciate, to enable their tonearm and cartridge to extract the most accurate info from their record grooves possible.

You will really need this.
Spent some coin on a turntable with adjustable VTA and then I resisted buying this, saying, "nah, I can get things adjusted by myself."Nope.It's $8. I spent four figures on a turntable. Don't be silly. Buy one, then offer it up to your friends to set theirs up when they get started.

Used this to align my cartridge as it came installed from the factory. The sound on the back half of a record side drastically improved.

Tiny, difficult to see, but can work with some clever improvisation.
This tool looks considerably larger in photos than it is in reality. This is a TINY grid with almost impossible to read text and gridlines. One requires a LOT of LIGHT to make out what is on the grid. Had I know it was so small I would not have bought it. However, it CAN be used if you do what I did, and that is to run frog or painter's tape across the gridline, left to right, for the VTA degree you need. THEN you can actually SEE the gridline you need to see. I suggest doing the same for the Azimuth grid. The tool can be used, but it is incredibly small, with the entire tool measuring only about 1 3/4 inches by 3 inches, and 3/8 of an inch wide. To the positive, it will stand directly next to the tonearm atop a (spare) vinyl record, and the gridlines seem permanent as none rubbed off onto my hands during use. I chose the black gridlines, but it may be easier to see the green or yellow gridline models, if you buy one of these.
