Great Value PLA for Hobbyist & Professional 3D Printing
The eSUN PLA Basic Filament 1.75 mm is excellent for fast and reliable 3D printing! The filament feeds smoothly, sticks well to the bed, and produces clean, precise layers with minimal stringing. I noticed consistent extrusion even at higher speeds, making it perfect for both prototypes and finished prints. The spool is well-packed and tangle-free, and the color quality is vibrant and consistent throughout. With two 1 kg spools, I have plenty of material for multiple projects without worrying about running out. Overall, this PLA offers great value, reliable performance, and excellent print quality — highly recommended for hobbyists and pros alike!

great price for high quality filaments
eSun PLA filament is my go to with my printer, good clean prints, and always seem to have the colors I want or need, has been my go to since I got into printing in the last year. Uniform color and good quality and feeds amazing in my printer! with a Good texture and very flexible on the spool even when it gets twisted up if I have a feeding issue. own currently Grey, Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, White, and Black likely even more colors.

Solid filament at a value price
I'm finding eSun to be a respectable filament for the price. I used this particular role to print fidget trees. The color is striking--exactly what I was after. This particular filament printed flawlessly, so full five stars. Be sure to use at least 70°C for the bed temperature to ensure good adhesion. I had three failed prints at 60°C before figuring that one out. They kept separating from the bed halfway through. Great value-for-price filament. I do recommend.

the Good, the Bad and the Ugly
So I wanted to give a full review after actually trying this filament. The Good: The price is fair for what you get and a the quality is so-so, but if you plan to only print small things and or are watching your printer every 30 mins, it's fine for the $12 sale I got it for. I bought 2 rolls and this one *did* come vacuum sealed, the other color of the same brand was seal but not vacuum tight. The Bad: There isn't consistency on how well this filament sticks to my build plate. the first small connector piece I had to pry it off with tools it was stuck so bad, the very next print the tree supports straight up didn't stick. You aren't guaranteed the vacuum seal will be in the bag. Also, the spool is VERY inconsistently wound. Meaning there will be snags and I have to watch this like a hawk every 20 min or so, which, for small prints is ok, but big prints will be a nightmare. The Ugly: like above, it doesn't consistently stick and even if it does there isn't always consistency with how much PLA extrudes from the tip while it's printing. It was a fresh spool out the box and it's more fickle than some of my 5+ old open spools I use to for test prints. I had it bird nest twice on me, and thankfully caught it early enough, but it's gonna be a headache if that's the quality of the whole spool. Again, I'm still giving this 4 stars just because of the price. if it's on sale for the $12 or less, I feel like it might be worth the gamble if you're cheap like me. It has penitential to work for people just fine, especially small and simple prints. Think like if you need a test-print spool you don't care too much about. but there is little to no quality control from spool to spool. You just have to get lucky.

Bright, Reliable, and Easy to Print – Great Everyday PLA
I’ve been using this eSUN PLA Basic filament (Fire Engine Red) for several prints on my Bambu Lab A1, and I’m very pleased with the results. The color is exactly what I hoped for—a vivid, bold red that really pops on finished prints. It’s perfect for decorative models, toys, or anything that needs a strong visual impact. Printing performance is solid. It feeds smoothly, adheres well to the bed, and has very minimal stringing. I’ve been printing at around 200°C with a bed temp of 60°C, and haven’t had any clogs or layer adhesion issues. This filament isn’t “premium,” but it does exactly what it promises—consistent quality and reliable results for everyday projects. It’s also worth mentioning that it doesn’t have a strong smell during printing, and it’s easy to post-process if needed (sanding, painting, etc.). If you’re looking for a no-fuss, budget-friendly filament for general use, this one is a great pick. I’ll definitely be ordering more colors from eSUN in the future.

Low price because it’s cheap
Great price but I’m having some teething problems in my Bambu P1s. I bought the green and blue but have only printed the green so far. The green is having some minor adhesion problems. Seemed to get fixed after an alchohol wipe of my PEi plate. Also experiencing some stringing which I’m sure can be fixed in setting but hasn’t happened with other matte pla. My printer is also treating this filament like it’s wet even though it’s straight out of the packaging and into the AMS. And finally it’s seems a little sticky. A little like petg but only a little. Sticks to the poop chute now and then after color change and there’s usually some dangling from the nozzle too. Then the winding onto the spool seems a little off. It has bound enough to pause printing 3 times now. Slowing my whole workflow WAY down. I don’t think I’ll buy it again and I’m considering returning the unopened blue I bought. I don’t think this is good product if you’re trying to print and make $. But it’s also not good for a beginner who won’t know what to do with these problems. Probably not worth the low price

I’ve been really impressed with the eSUN PLA Basic filament. The 1.75mm black spool has been consistent from start to finish, with excellent dimensional accuracy (I haven’t noticed any jams or clogs). Prints adhere well to the bed, layers bond smoothly, and the finish comes out with a clean matte look that hides layer lines better than many other brands. The spool itself is neatly wound, making it easy to load and run at higher speeds without tangling. I especially appreciate that this filament strikes a nice balance between strength and ease of printing—perfect for both functional parts and decorative projects. Compared to other brands I’ve tried, this eSUN PLA is reliable, affordable, and produces great results with minimal tweaking. Definitely a go-to filament for everyday printing. Pros: Consistent diameter and flow Strong layer adhesion Smooth surface finish Easy to print, even at faster speeds Affordable and reliable Cons: Like most PLA, not ideal for high-heat applications Overall, highly recommend for anyone who wants a dependable filament for their 3D printer.

This is not a high end filament but it prints very well

It has broken 5 times in a week of printing. I've never had a filament brake in the boden tube like this. Whe it works it good quality but it will be my last sun putchase

What I thought before: I don't like it. It lays down smooth enough and looks good on large faces, but it strings easy and doesn't finish well in overhangs. I could probably fix it with enough testing and settings adjustment, but... meh. It's cheap, but not "do a bunch of extra work to get it to preform" cheap. I tried it because some guys say they swear by it, but I'm not going to buy eSun filament again. Update: I must have got a wet roll or something, because I was enticed to try eSun again, and it is fantastic. The eSun guys were very good at convincing me to try them again, and now, I'm going to use eSun all the time. Also, I really love the vibrance of the colours. I normally use white and it's a better white than everyone else's white. I was dumb before, you want to use this stuff. You really do.

No matter what I do, temp change, speed change, z height change, brim, can't get it to stick to the bed without it warping, using this on my ender v3 ke. Prints harder than petg UPDATE: printed at 220 and 60 bed temp for first layers and it worked alright, kept slow layers on for first 5 layers and then I was able to up the speed to 300 mm/s without issues
