Purchased to view some very old black and white negatives dating from the 1930s. You use the free app to view them and then they appear on your phone to view. So quick too. Recommend it

Excellent value for money. It does a great job and is nice and easy to store. No real downsides at all for the price.I haven't used their app though.

Easy to handle.

My light box arrived very promptly and was wrapped as if it were new but when I opened it, the whole of the front was scratched on the black areas. There was no cover film although there was a sticker that suggested that you had to pull off a cover film. The light box clearly wasn’t new, was damaged and not in great condition. It does however work perfectly and is a very good item despite the damage so I won’t send it back but I don’t think I should have been charged full price as it was definitely second hand.

So pleased with this. Very easy to use, with 3 light levels. It says to use a scanning app with it to capture the photos, but I just use my iphone camera.

I bought this in desperation, instead of an expensive, bulky and possibly stressful experience with a scanner and all the drivers aggro. Purely to try and get some precious photos back which i had lost, but i still had the negatives for. Old negatives and photos from the 80s.i decided not to get those devices made especially for the purpose, as the quality of the results looked very suspect, with very minimal dpi, not acceptable for printing. Besides which they were ridiculously overpriced!I found out i could take photos of my negatives on the light board in RAW mode on my Galaxy S9 phone. The files were saved as dng files. Then i found out i could process these files in Adobe Lightroom, which currently costs 10 a month and includes the Photoshop app as well. Anyway, with a little research and not too much messing about, i was able to convert the negative images to postive, change the colour filters as needed, and remove any imperfections too. Then i could save the results as high quality jpgs that can be printed. See for yourself the results, all from old Brownie camera 127 negatives, or 126. Yes, that is one-time Olympics runner Steve Ovett getting married, and Radio 1 DJ Peter Powell signing autographs at the Radio 1 Roadshow!PS - if you want the magnets to hold down your negatives with, you have to buy the LARGER version like I did! They are brilliant too, all stick together so easier not to lose!

We found boxes of old long forgotten slides. I first looked at 'old school' slide viewers, but I realised there would be no method of downloading/uploading the photos to a good standard.Really pleased to discover the light pad. No need to download the app recommended, as phones and PC have excellent photo editing solutions. Set out about 12 slides at a time on the light pad. Took photos of each separately. Easily edited some on my android phone. Edited others on the PC.Found so many memories and shared them with family. The light pad was certainly worth purchasing.
