30pcs Deck Railing Bracket Connectors, 2x4 (1.5’’x3.5’’) Brackets for Wood Deck Railing Post, Railing Connectors for Handrail with Reinforced Screws and a Drill Bit, Fence Railing Brackets

This is the second time we ordered these. We just completed a deck/wheelchair ramp, and used these on the railing. The added cost of using these vs. just toenailing (toescrewing?) the cross bars was worth it both in strength and aesthetics. You attach these to each end of the 2x4 with screws that were included and then attach the brackets to the posts, again with included hardware. The crew we'd hired was concerned about them cracking, but the material used is high quality and they had no problems at all. In fact, one of the crew members decided the brackets were so easy to use and the plastic material was so durable, that he is going to order some for the fence project he's getting ready to start. We'd decided to use black post bases and post caps, with black wire on the rails, so this just added an extra nice touch. We used PT 2x4s and they fit snugly as we'd hoped. When we finally get to the fence project around the house, I plan on ordering more of these brackets.

Big help to keep everything secure. My deck with rails came out great. Lumber here is not the best and this product assist with that is issue. Will buy again. Not difficult to use. So far it is still working as it should.
