Best purchase ever!
My 8-year-old son absolutely loves this drone. I initially purchased a cheaper drone for him, and I quickly realized that it was not going to allow him to develop his skills with that drone. I decided to invest in his passion, and it paid off as he is now impressively improving his drone flying skills. This drone is fantastic and all the devices, goggles, controler work really well. Highly recommend this drone but advise to get a combo with more batteries as they last about 17 min.

Very fun, easy to use and configurable
I feel like a child with new toy, actually my first ever DJI drone, it is very beginner friendly, the box has a lot of QR codes that send you directly to the DJI website with tons of tutorials that are easy to understand. I had some RC devices before and had expended some hours on FPV simulator, so first fly wasn’t hard with the Remote controller 3 (bought separately) Video quality is really good, a lot of technology on it, return to home function is kind of blind so make sure there are no trees on the way. It taked a couple weeks to arrived but the wait is worth. Normal mode is very stable and easy to control, sport mode is faster that what I expected, manual mode is a little hidden on the settings and requires the controller 3 but once is activated the drone becomes more fun. But harder to control for beginners. Haven’t try the motion controller yet, but feels good on hand, a little smaller than it seems on pictures. One battery is not enough for a good amount of fun, so if you can get the fly more como (I’m getting the batteries separately now), goggles 3 are worth, good image quality and easy to adjust. Haven’t crashed yet, but it feels solid.

Childhood Dream Achieved - Flying Like A Bird!
I just got to fly the DJI Avata 2, and dude, it’s so much fun. If you’ve ever been curious about flying FPV drones but felt kinda intimidated by all the gear and setup, this one’s for you. So, first off, it comes with these goggles (DJI Goggles 3) that are super comfy and give you that full-on immersive flight vibe — like, you feel like you’re actually in the sky. And instead of the typical drone controller, it uses this motion-sensing thing called the RC Motion 3. You basically point where you want to go. It sounds gimmicky, but trust me, it just works. After a few minutes, you’re swooping around like you’ve done this for years. The camera on it is insane for how small the drone is — it shoots in 4K, and the footage looks chef’s kiss. Super wide angle too, so everything feels big and dramatic. It even does slow motion if you want to get those buttery cinematic shots. And it’s got a ton of internal storage, which is awesome if you’re like me and forget to bring SD cards half the time. What really got me though is how beginner-friendly it is. There’s this Easy ACRO mode that basically lets you do flips and rolls just by pressing a button. It makes you look like a pro, even if you’ve never flown an FPV drone before. And if you're worried about crashing — don’t. It’s built like a little tank with propeller guards and all, so it can take a few hits while you're getting the hang of it. The only thing that might be a small downside is that the simulator support isn’t amazing yet, so if you’re someone who wants to practice a lot virtually first, that’s something to keep in mind. But honestly, it’s forgiving enough that you could learn on the fly (literally). If you’ve been on the fence about getting into drones or FPV in general, the Avata 2 makes it feel way less scary and way more fun. It’s like DJI made it for people who want the thrill without the stress.

My husband’s Christmas gift
This is leaps and bounds beyond its predecessor. The goggles work beautifully, the joystick is easy to use, and I am so appreciative of the blade guards. The footage is shockingly clear. I wish it came with a second battery but otherwise it’s spectacular.

Great drone, excellent video, fun to fly, short battery life
Great drone, fun to fly, pretty easy to set up, great video, and like like amazing quality. True manual mode requires a lot of steps and Id recommend a video tutorial. The battery lasts for less than 15 minutes in ordinary outdoor conditions making learning to fly this drone with only 1 battery very challenging. Additional batteries are pretty expensive at $150. A single battery is enough to do much with this drone, so I did end up buying a second. The kit doest come with any case, making transportation a little awkward, especially with the goggles which I would like protected. The kit comes with some corrective lenses for the goggles, and attachments I used to fit custom 3rd party lenses for my astigmatism for around $70. The goggles will not fit over most glasses.

For what it is, excellent.
For what this drone is, and for being out a few years now, this is the best combination of fpv and cinematography. Sadly no modes for tracking objects however everything from the quality of material and experience when piloting is excellent. If you want something strictly for fpv I wouldn’t recommend nor if you want something for just the photography/cinematography. But for best of both I’d say this is perfect. Next level obviously would be avata 360

Without a proper manual the product is entirely useless!
Got all of the physical contents out of the box in anticipation of having some fun with the kids this afternoon. And then I sat down to read the manual. To my shock, it was one of those 2.5 x 4 inch fold out, see through things in a plethora of languages type to so small, I was unable to discern if there was one in English. Even if there was. It would be impossible to read! Two major issues here: Firstly, drones can be dangerous without proper guidelines and there is a level of responsibility needed to use them. Secondly, For a product costing $1000, a decent manual written in the language of the Purchaser should not only be expected, but considered vital to the transaction! In addition to this review, I've written to the manufacturer and to the company that hosts this website 😉 Let's see what happens...

DJI Avata 2 is everything the first should have been ! Fantastic Cinematic FPV Drone and Fun to fly. What I love about the new A2 FPV : 1 : A really good Camera ! No need to attach a Go Pro anymore, Handles different light conditions very well , you can turn in to the sun and the camera exposes perfectly. Really nice colours out the box. 2 : FPV Googles , Sits really nice on top of your head, no more wires hanging about , the battery sits at the back of your head. really nice view inside the lens. 3: You get about 15-20 mins max in the sky depending on what mode you have the drone in , The drone has 3 modes , Normal & Sport are really good modes for just flying around and getting good cinematic footage of landscapes , but if you want to dive and spin over cliffs then you need to learn Manual mode ! Buy the controller3 and practice in a sim like liftoff , its really hard to get the hang of but once you master it your videos will look a lot better than others just droning around with a normal drone. Just a really fun Drone to fly and it really deserves the praise its getting.
