After many years of frustration and wasted money, I have finally picked a winner! 🏆 Stella is an APBT/Lab mix and she is such an incredible dog. She is SUPER intelligent, obedient, and has quite the personality! (I said what I said). The only issue we face with her is that she is EXTREMELY overprotective of us and of our home. If she sees or hears anything or anyone even slightly unfamiliar, she jumps right into defense mode at the drop of a hat. Not saying this is a bad thing, it’s definitely good to know she wants to keep us safe – it’s just a bit over the top sometimes, and she often gets carried away to the point where she will try to attack our other dog (a sibling she has been with since we first brought her home as a pup) if she gets too close to me or my husband. Stella is mostly just bark and no bite (apart from one or two small incidents when she was younger), but I always knew that to have the option to muzzle her would put me at ease around other people and animals. To date, I’ve tried six different muzzles on Stella, and each one she had ripped off of her snout in under ten seconds. So frustrating! I had honestly given up for several years until I stumbled across this muzzle while shopping for harnesses. I figured for the price it couldn’t hurt too much to give it one more try… boy, am I ever happy I did!
