Would this make my 4 years old pc rapid fast again ?

It realy depends on what parameters the PC has. Adding a SSD to the configuration has the potential to improve performance a lot, but in my opinion you need to have minimum 4GB RAM and 2 physical cores processor. You should check the HDD load in the Task Manager. If the HDD load stays at 100% for long periods, that is an indication that it is a bottleneck and switching to SSD will be a big improvement.

Will this work on a toshiba satellite l5-b-191?

Yes it should and if the original hard disk is intact consider using it as external storage by putting it in an 2.5inch external case (it will make cloning the drive much easier as well)

Will this fit a Lenovo ThinkPad x230?

if your system's BIOS is dated after 2001 it'll support any available capacity drive as long as the interface is there. The date is important because that's when UDMA/100 came in and logical block addressing was increased to 48 bits wide (whereas beforehand LBA was only 28 bits wide hence limited each drive to 128GB). Short version: if it's a SATA interface, then yes your system will support it since 48-bit LBA was baked into the SATA 1.0 standard when it was released in 2003. Physically these drives are stupidly thin and will fit in any 2.5" drive bay or space.
