Fun and easy
This putty is super easy to use and makes mold-making way simpler than liquid silicone. No need for mold walls or worrying about leaks – just knead equal parts of each color and press your object right in. It cures fast, which is great if you're ready, but you do need to work quickly. I saw a few reviews mention the short working time; I had everything prepped, so I didn’t run into issues, but I can see how it could catch you off guard if you’re not ready or move slowly. It picks up decent detail, but if you're working with intricate designs, it might miss finer lines. For basic shapes and small to medium items, it’s great. Some reviews talked about air bubbles, but that seems more like a technique issue, maybe? From the reviews, seems like some people got batches that were dried out or missing seals – mine was fine, but it’s worth checking right away. The price feels a little high for the amount you get, but the convenience makes up for it. Prices change, so maybe it won’t be an issue depending on when you buy. For small molds – resin, clay, Halloween stuff – it works great. There’s a learning curve, but after a few tries, you get the hang of it. Overall – easy, fun, and super handy, just not the best for ultra-detailed or large projects.

Great product! …but a bit pricey??
I’m used to using 2 part liquid molds so this is quite new for me. It’s very easy to use and the benefit of a putty mold vs. a liquid mold is with a putty you can physically form it into any shape and thickness you want so there’s WAY more control than pouring a liquid. So definitely 5-stars for that convenience!! As far as price… it’s twice as much for half the amount than the liquid mold I have…yikes! But as my mom says “money does not buy happiness, it buys convenience” so if I was to look at the price vs quantity vs. manageability vs no clean up…I think the price can be justified a little. I really like this style for my smallest pieces. I will be ordering more of the putty style in the future. :)

Not for detailed items, pulls away from object trying to mold
As far as of thus is easy to use, I suppose that is subjective. It mixes easily, but does take about 3 minutes to fully mix, and by that time you have about 2 minutes to shape and press the item you intend to make a mold of into it. Even if keeping it that low of a number, it already begins to harden, then retracts away from the item you are trying to make an impression of, leaving a subpar shape, and losing any details with it. This is definitely a quick mix and press, and definitely made only for shapes versus detailed pieces. It does dry pretty quickly, so if you need a mold fast, this will work great for that, but, I also recommend wearing gloves when mixing. I do not know what is in this, but my hands were oily and started burning as I mixed this, so there's something that reacted with me, and that is rare for myself. I had this putty up to the sides and in all the indents of the broccoli piece, and it immediately pulled away from it, and would not stay in place. It has an air clay feel to it, and dries very similarly to that. Just more rubbery like silicone is. For a quick and very basic mold, this will work, but I would not purchase this in the future. I will make use of what is left of this to not be wasteful. Someone else might find this very useful, it just is not my favorite at all.

Never completely cured, surface flaked off
This never really worked. I mixed both equal-by-weight containers all at once, kneaded it till the color was uniform, made my shapes. Even after several days, the surface could be easily scraped off with a finger. Regrets.

Easiest way to do silicone molds
Using a putty rather than a liquid is so much simpler for making silicone molds! No need to build mold walls and deal with leaking, etc. Make sure you have the item you want to mold all ready to go, because there's a fairly short working time. Hand knead equal parts of each color until homogenous, roll into a ball and flatten into a patty you can quickly press your item into. After about 30 minutes, it's ready to demold. I wish there were more putty included - this has enough for a few small molds, a couple medium, or one large mold. Other than that, I have no complaints! I always use a release when using resin with a silicone mold. The ones I made demolded easily and maintained a nice amount of detail.

Perfect For Miniature Mold Making!
I make dollhouse miniatures, and wanted to make molds of a few of the parts so I could then cast them in resin. This silicone putty is exactly what I needed! I am only making very small molds, so this is going to last me for a while. Mixing the two parts by weight isn't a problem with a small scale and so far I have been very pleased with how they come out! Back to resin casting! This stuff is terrific!

Not curing?
I’m guessing because of the 60 degree ac that is typically in the space i’m working in, the putty will not cure within 20-30 minutes. I’m kneading and mixing thoroughly until reaching a solid color…i also noticed the putty parts both white and purple are pretty oily and when mixed its more of a lilac color, way lighter then the color advertised. idk, maybe i’m doing something wrong. but i ended up just using a heat gun on low after letting it sit for almost 4 hrs and it still being soft enough to slice with my fingernail, disrupt the mold and even roll back up into a ball. i’m on my 5th or 6th attempt of the night actually lol. but for the amount i bought for this price, i will try to figure this out..i stored the putty jars and my molds in the outside storage for the night maybe it needs to be stores at warmer temperatures to work properly.

Worked as expected, but overpriced
This 2-part putty was easy and quick to use. I simply weighed out equal portions, kneaded it together, pressed it out and jammed an old necklace into it. This was a tester run to see if/how it worked so I just used craft glue. I got a lot of air bubbles which is an issue with the glue, not the mold. The mold did take longer to dry/cure than it said in the directions. When I use it again, I’ll let it set overnight and actually use a real medium to mold. It did give me a good impression of my little owl and it did capture all those tiny details. My only complaint is the price. It does not seem like a good value for the volume.
