Amazing tool and case! 10/10
I love this hefty case. It really is amazing and worth the money. My only issue with mine is the ‘click’ when you try to press something on the mouse pad. You need to put an unusual amount of force in order to actually ‘click’ something on the screen while using the mouse pad. I am not sure if this is an issue with my particular case or if this is an issue overall but it does trouble me that I need to constantly individually ‘click’ or I have to just press on my iPad screen. I got the large case for the newest M5 iPad 13”. I also think it is a bit heavy which defeats the purpose of the iPad, BUT this is something I’m willing to live with since this is an awesome case and keyboard. If it wasn’t for these two points, then definitely a 5 star product. **UPDATE: Customer service reached out to me and let me know that there was a way to activate the tap to click and it turns out that there IS a way to get rid of that annoying click. They did end up switching me to another model since it would be better for what I am looking for and mine did need to be replaced. I LOVE their customer service and because of their insightfulness and ability to communicate I am raising my rating to a 5 star. I will say that overall even though I wont be using my original case (this item), I will reiterate that it is such an amazing functional case and it is very sturdy! Definitely for the people that want to use their ipad as a mac and are ok with a slight change in weight. Thank you so much ESR!!

Great alternative to the official Apple Magic Keyboard.
This is a review of the 13” iPad Pro model, although I suspect the same is true for the others. This review is being typed on this keyboard…. Firstly, it serves its purpose well, allowing you to more efficiently type on the ipad, and even use a trackpad. But there’s a few drawbacks. PROS: * It gives you a normal laptop qwerty layout keyboard that you can use instead of trying to type using the iPad’s touchscreen. * Keyboard can be detached, leaving you with a ‘shielded case’ ipad. * IPad can be magnetically attached to the keyboard in several orientations, although NOT in the ‘flip-fully over’ to give you just a touchscreen. * Backlit keys, with color selection button. * extra row of keys above numbers for things like brightness, media, volume, etc. * keys are nice and clicky. Keyboard base is firm enough to be used on a mattress/couch/lap. * touchpad that understands gestures. * it’s around a 1/3 the price of the official apple Magic Keyboard. * closing clasp can hold an Apple Pencil or equivalent. CONS: * VERY BIG/HEAVY. It turns the newest lightest iPad Pro 13” into something that feels heavier and thicker than a macbook 14”. Even if you detach the keyboard, the remaining case protector still adds some thickness to the ipad. * does not share battery/ usb-c connector the way apple keyboard does. You will need to occasionally charge this keyboard. * Since it connects via Bluetooth, it can disconnect when idle, and takes a bit to reconnect. * did I mention how much heavier and thicker the ipad feels with this? Overall: If you need a keyboard for occasional use with your ipad, but feel hesitant dropping over $300 on the apple one, you will likely be very happy picking this ESR alternative. The only people I would *not* recommend it for are those who picked up the ipad for its lightweight/thin profile.

Great Device and Highly Recommend
Had this device since October 2025 and absolutely love it! It is just like Apple’s. It works great and love the keyboard and the magnetic portion that strongly secures the actual Apple iPad. The weight of the device is somewhat heavy however very substantial. I would highly recommend this Keyboard and carrier for your new Apple iPad. It is well worth the investment and is still working well and the functionality is truly top notch! Highly Recommend!

Great product!
Recently got the new Ipad and was looking for a case and found this one. It is a great case! Feels great and keeps the Ipad super secure. I love that you can detach the keyboard from the case so you can use them separately but still keep the Ipad fully protected. I also like that the case rotates on the magnetic base. This is everything I wanted and at a super reasonable price. My ONLY complaint would be the weight of it. It is definitely heavier than carrying my Macbook Air and that took some getting used to. But to get around that I just use the case without the keyboard when I don't need it so the weight isn't an issue. Would definitely recommend this product!!

Amazing Keyboard
This keyboard is amazing. When typing it has very little to zero lag. The keys are comfortable and very responsive. I like the back lit keys with he ability to change colors and brightness. The case for iPad is good with good protection. I like that if you don’t need the keyboard your iPad is still protected. It fits perfectly. There is no reason to spend 350 dollars when this one is better as it also comes with a case.

NOT compatible with other ESR products!
While this is a great alternative for the Apple Magic Keyboard, I have one simple, but deal breaking issue with this product. I am a huge fan of ESR products, and I use their screen protectors and cases for almost all of my tech. Ironically enough, this has led to my disappointment of this product: I have the ESR Shift Magnetic Case for my M4 iPad Pro 13 inch (the one that I bought this keyboard for). Similar to this keyboard case, it comes with a detachable inner case that serves as an extra layer of protection if you choose to remove the iPad from its stand at any time. This was a big selling point for me, and I have read numerous reviews that show it is a huge selling point for most of the product’s buyer-base. When searching for a keyboard case for my iPad, I ultimately chose to stick with the ESR brand and buy this keyboard, with the detachable inner case being one of my biggest “pros” in the decision making process. Upon its arrival, I was met with, however, a HUGE disappointment. You see, the inner sleeve cases for these two products are tight fits. (So tight, in fact, that it takes a bit of strength and manipulation to put on and take off the case. This isn’t an issue, however, since I have no need to remove it from the inner sleeve, as it serves as the main piece of protection for my iPad.) They are simple in their design, and are just a silicone slim-fit case with I assume a relatively strong magnet built into the back. This allows them to attach snugly to their case counter-parts without worrying about them falling out of its magnetic hold. It does this very well, as I am always impressed by the strength of the hold the case has on my iPad. Both of these inner sleeve cases are IDENTICAL. If it weren’t for the color, I wouldn’t be able to differentiate the two… until I try to use them. Because of the simplicity of the design of the inner cases, I had foolishly assumed that I would be able to seamlessly switch between the Magnetic Shift case and this Keyboard Case without ever needing to change out the inner sleeves. I was very, VERY wrong. If at any time I wish to switch from the keyboard case back to the Magnetic Shift case, I need to pry my iPad out of its inner silicone case and struggle to re-insert the iPad into the special silicone case that came with it. This is a huge pain, and I honestly will find myself choosing to not even use this keyboard case due to the sheer annoyance and irritation it brings me. ESR: PLEASE make your products interchangeable. I have never been more disappointed in one of your products. Your direction of product design is catered towards ease, accessibility, and variety of use. This should have been taken into consideration when designing an accessory for a product that was made for infinite possibilities. I should NOT have to go through the trouble of taking my iPad out of its snug case every time I want to switch between drawing on Procreate or writing a school essay. Needless to say, I am disheartened and will hesitate in the future when choosing to buy an ESR-branded product.

9 Months in and I still LOVE it! Great replacement for Magic Keyboard.
I LOVE MY NEW KEYBOARD! Cons (or possible cons): 1. It’s heavy. I am someone who likes a sturdy case on my iPad. I can’t just use a bare iPad and I’ve had somewhat heavy cases in the past as I would rather be fully safe. Having said that, this is heavier than even I’m used to. But I still love it. (Update: 9months later. I don’t really notice the weight any more) It isn’t going to be an issue for me but I can see why others might think it would be. Even the detachable case is heavy because there are magnets in it but that is also a Pro.(see below) Just letting you know, be aware before you buy. 2. No delete key? Some have said that is a con. I don’t know, There is a backspace key so that’s all I need. I mean do you really need both? Maybe a con for some but not for me. 3. You have to charge it. Don’t love having another thing to charge but this might not even be an issue. I read it only needs charging every week or so. If that’s the case, not a con for me though it may be for others. I just got mine so I’ll have to see how it does. UPDATE: looks like about 8 days holding a charge with fairly heavy use which is acceptable to me. (Update 9months later: The charging is fine. I only had it die once. Now i randomly plug it in at night just when i think about it. It isn’t a problem at all) 4. When you detach it, there isn’t a stand to prop it up with. I had the Logitech Combo Touch and if you detached the keyboard, you still had a stand. Not a huge issue but I liked that it did that. (Update 9 months later: i use the back of the case as a stand. It works fine when it’s in my lap. If it’s on a table I just put it on the keyboard the way it usually goes but you could also invert it like a teepee and place it on the back that way. Either way, it isn’t an issue) 5. You do have to wait for the keyboard to wake up before you use it so if you are impatient like me that’s annoying. You can’t open and instantly type, it takes a few seconds. Maybe about 5 seconds. Not a lot but I find it slightly annoying. Pros: 1. It’s heavy enough to keep it from tipping over. I tried the Magic Keyboard and it was very top heavy. I returned it. Also, it didn’t have any protection for iPad when detached from keyboard. Even if you place the iPad higher up on this one it still doesn’t tip. (you can adjust the position of the iPad, Portrait, lower, higher) 2. There is a separate cover so if I detach it, it is still protected (unlike Magic Keyboard) 3. The keys feel nice to me. Plenty of room to type on. I guess if you have giant fingers maybe not but I think mine are average sized. Nice tactile feel. Some have said the keys and trackpad are too noisy. I’m slightly deaf so not a problem for me, also I type fast so I kind of like that tapping sound when I type. But unless you are in a super quiet environment, I don’t think it’s that loud. (Update 9 months later: I find I can’t see the keys that well even with the lights. I just bought some stickers to place on the keys that may help assuming they stick properly(*they have). I found purple ones to match my keyboard. My eyes aren’t great and the light up keyboard doesn’t really help me see the letters so hopefully the stickers help.)(*they do) 4. You can actually attach your iPad to your fridge (any metal surface) with just the case since it has magnets. If I’m cooking and need to read a recipe or something, it’s great to attach it to the fridge. So the heavy Con turns into a Pro here. (Update 9 months later: I never do this lol, but you can) 5. There is more than just one color. I got Lilac. Thank you for other colors besides just black. (Update 9 months later: It stays clean looking, I’m sure I’ve had sticky fingers at one point or another but the case still looks good) 6. Portrait mode. I can use my iPad in portrait mode. Nice. 7. The price is good. 8. Because it’s Bluetooth, I suppose I could use the keyboard with my phone or other tablet or even my PC? I don’t plan to, but I guess you could. 9. There is a cover to protect your Apple Pencil. I like that. 10. I can just put the keyboard in my lap and type. I couldn’t do that with the Magic Keyboard - it was too tippy. Even the Combo touch wasn’t great for that but I could do it. This works great in my lap. 11. Different colors to light up keyboard. (Update 9 months later. I’m not that excited about this but it’s ok still) 12. Function Keys at the top. I never use them really so not a pro for me but maybe for someone. (Still barely use them 9 months later) I previously had the Logitech Combo Touch. I liked it ok. Better than Apple’s Magic Keyboard, but I like this one better than the Combo Touch. However, my Logitech Combo Touch just stopped working after only one year. I didn’t drop it or abuse it. I think maybe an update to my iPad may have made it stop working though I have no proof of that. I’ll check after the next update. Hopefully this one doesn’t die on me after a year. (Update 3 months later: still fine, I still LOVE it, I would buy it again.)

Works well!
The case itself works very well. It connects easily every time, and I haven't had to charge it once in the several months I've had it—and I'm a daily typer (like many hours daily). I also love that it comes with a way to secure your apple pencil when not in use, which almost every other case on the market is missing, including Apple. I only have a couple of small criticisms: - The back hinge seems a little bit loose, so that if I have my ipad tilted for any reason, like if I have it propped up on my knees in bed, the screen doesn't stay in position/the angle changes. It definitely relies on the case being flat to keep the screen's position static. - I got the lavender color, which is gorgeous and I love it, but the case shows dirt SO easily. That wouldn't be an issue except it seems almost impossible to clean?? I've tried clorox wipes, isopropyl alcohol, goo gone, and I still see faint marks from where it's been set down on a surface that I guess wasn't clean enough? Be wary of setting this case down on anything that isn't 100% spotlessly clean, especially if you got a lighter color. (Note to seller: please don't stop producing colorful products. I bought this specifically because it wasn't a boring space gray or white like every single other option on the market.) - The space key squeaks—not super loudly, but just enough to be an annoyance, especially if you're a fast typer like I am.

Bien. Recomendado.

Well made, good quality and looks great.
I bought the white colour because it was the only colour available at the time, I was skeptic at first but it turned out to be a good colour choice for me. It looks and feels really good. Everything works well with no issues. Note to self, it needed a bit of weight to the iPad, I personally like that too. The quality of the product is perfect and for the price you can’t go wrong.
