Butter, Fig and Walnut, 12.75 Ounce

I was kind of disappointed in the taste and texture. It was sort of more liquid/runny and not creamy like a typical apple butter or other fruit butters. It did contain pieces of fig and nuts. The taste though was not figgy enough or something. It is hard to describe. I was expecting more of the dominant taste of fresh figs and nuts in a more creamy texture. Instead, this seemed maybe more like a dark wine-colored mix of liquid and fruit that was somewhat fig flavored but with other strong, mixed flavors as well. It was OK tasting for what it was, and I might use it as a filling or topping for scones, but it just was not for me.

This jam is fantastic over warm Brie with crackers.

I love figs and I love walnuts. I've even had them together in certain cookies. But this fig and walnut Butter has a very bitter chemical taste to me. I tried it first on a slice of toast and it wasn't great and then I tried it on a slice of buttered toast which made it a little better but not what I expected.

I love fig products but can't find any in East Tennessee. When I need things like this it's Amazon to the rescue!! This fig and walnut butter has a great taste. I will buy again

What can I say, this is so delicious. I put this on toasted bread with cream cheese and sometimes peanut butter. This is a must try!!
