This book, like ADKAR itself, is both easy to understand and incredibly powerful. I highly recommend it for those new to change management, the experienced practitioner, as well as leaders managing and driving change.I really loved three things about this book.First, if you are trying to better understand and manage how people adopt change, there is no better tool than ADKAR. This book does a great job of explaining it for a first-time user as well as has incredible advanced insights for the experienced professional and people leaders.Second, like ADKAR, it is simple to understand but incredibly practical. It is organized to share real-world lessons and proven best practices by real people and has AMAZING downloadable resources you can leverage to turn these ideas into reality.Third, as someone who has led change efforts (business transformations, M&A integrations, technology roll-outs, etc.) for Fortune 50 companies for his entire 30+ year career, ADKAR and the people side of change has been the secret ingredient to significantly increase the probability of success for each and every change I have been part of.ADKAR is not a nice to have. It is a MUST have and I found The ADKAR Advantage an essential resource to support me.

This book came at the perfect time for me as my company is currently facing some large changes and looking for the best way to approach such a shift. But my favorite part of "The ADKAR Advantage" is how useful the methods, tools, and tips shared in it can extend to any change we want to make, professional or personal. Great compilation of tools and resources to help leaders and change teams leverage to support the complicated world of change. Karen does a masterful job of bringing ADKAR to life with her real life examples and her practical application guidance.

I love viewing things through the lens of ADKAR whether that be in my personal or professional life! I am excited to dive deeper into this model and implement fresh perspectives and findings through the various tips and tricks along the way!

This book contains valuable information and resources, but it often feels like an overly long advertisement. Many of the included practitioner quotes add little to no value. One example is the painfully obvious statement, "Management involvement is a game changer." The content could be significantly condensed if it focused more on education rather than sounding like a sales pitch. A leaner, more direct approach would have made this a far more effective read.

The 2024 book, The ADKAR Advantage, takes Jeff Hiatt's timeless model and provides a current perspective on how folks around the world apply the model. Lots of actionable examples. Great work, Karen and Prosci!
