Fantastic for church video
We use this camera for Zoom transmission of our church services. It has proved fantastic in every respect. Windows picks it up as a webcam over USB and the optical zoom gives great picture clarity when framing the image. The remote control means that a number of presets can be set up before the service so there is no amateurish panning and zooming back and forward.

Great quality and function for a low cost!
I bought 3 of these cameras to use in a community radio station. They're plugged into an ATEM Mini Pro and I have to say I'm impressed with the video quality. When I opened the package I was disappointed to see that the camera lens was much smaller than the camera used in the amazon listing, and I wasn't expecting too much but the picture quality is great. Each camera can have 10 PTZ positions set and easily recalled using the remote. One remote can control.all cameras which is great as we now have 2 spare remotes in case one breaks or is lost. I think the cameras are worth the money, I ordered 2 initially and after testing them ordered an additional camera.

PTZ Camera
These cameras have worked really well for us in our hybrid meetings using Zoom. We use two cameras linked to laptops with NDI linking them. This allows us to select which camera feeds Zoom and make a separate recording of each one. The picture quality is excellent and the 20X zoom allows us to focus on individual audience members at question time. The only slight niggle is the VISCA and Pelco-D remote control protocols were not fully implemented limiting the controller software which could be used. The manufacturer assures me this has been fixed in the latest version of the camera so I'm happy to give it 5-stars.

It's very good, but not without drawbacks and a few issues.
Overall this is a very capable PTZ webcam that is of good build quality and it has a sensible range of capabilities, but it is not without a few problems. Let's deal with the better points first. Well to start with, the build is very good. Solid, very smooth bearings on the motor and almost silent operation. The 10x optical lens is a major part of this webcam and it's fairly good thankfully. Good light transmission and not a great deal of image deformation toward the edges of the focal image. It's important to know the difference of optical and digital zoom. Digital zoom just enlarges a static image captured by the image sensor by enlarging all pixels, which also enlarges the defects and imperfections. The result is you end up with a noisy and undetailed image. Optical zoom is an actual glass lens which allows the image sensor to capture a truly zoomed image. It's much better to have optical zoom, but it's also more expensive for the manufacturer. The 10x zoom works well on this webcam actually. It's very useful and makes it ideal for various scenarios, not just in the boardroom. It's clear and allows for better framing of the subject. The remote control doesn't just feel like an afterthought. It genuinely feel of decent quality. Robust body, good button feedback and works from a sensible range. Image quality is pretty good overall in most situations. The image sensor chip has been sensibly geared for backlit subjects and lower light conditions. Colour representation is a little washed out, but that's far better than having the colour saturation cranked up too high. The auto zoom works well too and you have the option of manual zoom if you prefer. The image auto focuses and it's quite quick to assess and readjust in everyday use. I found when the default settings are used the image is a little washed out and you do well to increase the colour saturation a bit for a little life in the frame. The USB dongle is a little large and does feel a tad fragile. It feels robust enough for the intended use, but I'd want to keep it protected if I were carrying it inside a laptop bag. The UI on the menu system is easy enough navigate and it gives you control over most features of the camera. Colour, hue, saturation, contrast, brightness etc. There are also controls for the refresh rate and PTZ controls. There are a few besides but you'll find those out when you get your own. They're all straight forward and not worth mentioning here. Something good worth mentioning is the pan and tilt has adaptive sensitivity, meaning when the camera is fully zoomed out it will pan and tilt at a reasonable speed. When zoomed in though the pan and tilt are slowed right down so you don't end up just seeing a mad blur as the camera spins around. Overall then, so far, I've been fairly impressed by everything ... but there are issues, read on. One obvious drawback is the 1080p resolution. For this price you would be forgiven for expecting a 4k sensor. 1080p is likely adequate for most needs, but given modern standards and the price 4k would have been a better option. Secondly, the USB dongle runs quite hot. Even under regular use in a cool environment it gets quite warm after 5-10 minutes. I was surprised by that and it might lead me onto the third drawback which is of the most concern. Although the dongle only occupies a single USB socket, it has quite a wide body and it can obstruct adjoining USB ports when in use. I've saved the most important criticism for last. I experienced that after a few minutes of normal use there were some delays in the image transmission and lag in reactions to user inputs from the remote control. You press a button to pan or zoom the camera and there have been multiple 2-4 seconds of delay before the webcam reacts. The webcam and laptop were no more than 6ft apart so it cannot be a WiFi issue. I don't know if the dongle is suffering from a thermal issue and that is the cause, but in any case you'd expect seamless camera control. When the delays happen you wonder if the webcam just hasn't picked up the signal from the remote, so you press the button a few more time and still nothing happens. Then after a few seconds the camera springs into life and begins obeying the previous 2 or 3 remote control inputs, which means it pans or zooms 2 or 3 times shifting your subject way out of centre frame. It's very disappointing and annoying. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's clear there are issues here from time to time, at least with the camera I received. To wrap up, I wanted to give this camera a 5 star review, but I just can't. The 1080p image sensor is a little disappointing rather than a 4k sensor. I could forgive that though because it's advertised as a 1080p webcam, so you know what you're buying from the outset and honestly a good 1080p sensor can often be better than a mediocre 4k sensor. The main issue is the lag in responsiveness to control inputs from the remote control. The webcam just freezes, then jerks back into life after a few seconds where it performs all the inputs you've been trying to give it, one after the other. Perhaps it's just my particular unit and everyone else's is fine, but I have to review what I have in front of me. Take a look at the attached photos and video. I've tried to show the zoom capabilities, how fast it adjusts the auto-focus from foreground to background and also how close a subject can be and still be in focus (about 12" or 30cm in case you're interested). Also note that the video will likely be re-encoded by Amazon's hosting servers for display in this review. The raw footage was actually quite nice, smooth with no glitches or tearing. The conclusion is it's has great build quality that uses seemingly quality components that result in a crisp, clear image. The 10x optical zoom is brilliant and lends itself to a wide range of scenarios. Sadly it's let down by some form of data transmission issue. If I could give 3.5 stars I would gladly award it that score. Given the asking price though people are going to be spending a fair bit of their hard earned cash and I think it's better to be critical here rather than generous. It's a very strong 3 stars, maybe even a weak 4 stars ... but it has issues you might encounter yourself and you should be aware of that. It's good, but could be better.

Provides a great picture on a 40" screen
Purchased for a woodturning club for use during demonstrations, easy to set up, provides a great picture and is easy to control. Moves well zooming smoothly & quickly once you've set up presets.

An excellent PTZ let down by the price
The TONGVEO 5.8GHz Wireless Conference Room Webcam is a competent PTZ that is easy to set up and configure, delivers great quality, and has some very good presets that cover all the possible use cases you could need. The big selling point of this devise over others, is that it is wireless. You can use the provided dongles to connect it to your computer for live streaming and Teams integration, I find the quality to be very good indeed, and for devices like this being used in medium sized spaces, there is really no need for 4K, and 1080p is perfectly adequate. The remote is very useful if you are a chair of a meeting, it caps off a very competent product, The only thing that lets this down is the price - you can get a 4K device for similar money, but then again this has wireless, and it ultimately depends on what is of most value - connectivity or picture quality. Overall, this is a minor gripe and overall it is an excellent camera that delivers solid performance.

Great Camera
Great Camera, the only drawback is that it does not come with a cable, If you are looking to use this camera with a keyboard, then go for this keyboard https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09YD5PR9T?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details as this comes with the cable to connect the 2 and have them talking to each other. iif you are looking to extend the cable, then get these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09YD5PR9T?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details normal network cable is ok to use for this and the wires go like this pin 6 to pin 6 , 4 to 4, 2 to 2, 5 to 5, and 3 to 3 . that will have this great little camera working well
