Whitmor, Zippered Storage Bag, Jumbo

I ordered two of thee and so glad that I did. These are basically the plastic storage with zipper that blankets normally come in at the store. However, these are quite large and just perfect for what I wanted. I have a bedding set which includes a ton of decorative pillows along with two king sized decorative pillows. Since this is the bed we sleep in nightly, taking the pillows off and on has been a real hassle. There's no where to put all these pillows. Plus we have dogs and I have to put them where the dogs can't get to them. Finally, I said screw it and no longer put all the pillows on the bed every morning. This solved my problem. I was able to get all the smaller pillows (a ton of them) into one box, and the two king sized sham pillows in another box. These were large enough that I could have almost put all the pillows in one box/bag. Now I can store my pillows without worrying about them ever spilling out all over the place or worrying about keeping them clean in these two boxes, which fit perfectly one on top of the other in my walk-in closet on the floor underneath the shelving and rods. Perfectly out of the way, yet easy to grab if someone is coming that I want to impress.I'm going to order some more. There are lot of blankets and pillows hanging around in closets that could all be put in one of these and either shelved or stacked along the floor of your closet. I have a lot of purses that take up shelf room. I'm going to put them all in one of these bags. I have a lot of winter gear... hats, scarves, gloves and jackets that I'm going to gather together, take off of hangers and store in here. I usually stick with the same ones and I will leave them out. And, just store those things rarely used and put the bag at the bottom of the coat closet for more room. Since they're clear, it's easy to see what you want right away. I would not recommend these for very heavy items, or items with sharp corners. I'm also going to use one in the car for the items I put in the back end of my suv... like an extra set of clothes, a couple of pillows, a couple of blankets and emergency supplies. I have a ton of shoes too and I'm going to put about 20 pairs of athletic type shoes in one side, boots, and thongs and sandals and put those on the floor too. Will look nicely arranged along the floor/wall. So, these are great for a lot of things tumbling around in your car or closet. I love these for lite storage.

I know the title says "jumbo" but I was still in shock once I saw how big this bag is. I figured it was a great price to store a duvet or two while it's so hot outside. I have a queen size duvet and could have fit at least two more in the bag. My duvet is on the "cooler" side of the scale because I live in an area that is mostly hot all year, with bouts of unpredictable cold weather. I guess it's subjective and depends on comforter sizes. We have a need for extra linen storage so it ended up holding the queen duvet and three different duvet covers, three sets of queen sheets and pillow cases, and a few towels. With all of those items the bag STILL caves in with lots of room! I can't agree or disagree with the "handle problem" some people mentioned, as It sits on my closet floor and is only used as excess storage so there's no need to carry it. It seems if it is heavy or tightly packed there's a possibility that the handles will rip over time. I can see how they'd break right away if it is too heavy. If I have any complaints it is that it only has one zipper. I like how the zipper can be tucked in when fully zipped, but the bag is so large I can see the zipper easily breaking over time or if it gets caught. It'd be better if there were two zippers to meet half way. FYI this bag does not have sturdy material lining the the bottom and sides so it is floppy. It will not be ideal for stacking unless it is packed to capacity. The only thing giving it shape is the items inside.

Finally the right size for my over size king comforter

Got these bags to store seasonal cloths and blankets and wanted to be able to see through the bags to find things easily if needed. The bags are pretty good and best for blankets or lighter bulky things. I say this because it will fit alot of cloths and that makes the bags pretty heavy. This then can cause the handle to tear off due to the heavy weight. They do not keep much form so if you need a stacking type bag - I would not recommend this. Personally - I like the bags, even though for what I'm using them for is not the ideal purpose.

This is much bigger than I expected, which turned out to be a good thing for me! When they say jumbo, they mean jumbo! I had ordered a couple of other blanket storage cases last week, and they only held two small blankets each, so I needed to buy something else. I have many moving blankets I needed put into something and out of the way, so I bought this hoping it would hold at least half. Because I had a not so great experience on the other blanket storage bags I bought (and I bought 2), I only bought one so I could check it out first. Glad I did, because it held all of my moving blankets! Great value. It isn't exactly super sturdy (but look at the price, you get what you pay for), but since I just need storage and won't be opening/closing this zipper all the time it will be fine. If you need something that you can open and close often, just keep in mind that it is pretty thin material and I don't think the zipper would be strong enough to do that. Also, I wouldn't try to put too much in and try to zip it, because I doubt the zipper would hold out.

It is inexpensive and serves the purpose of providing storage keeping dust off items, but it is not sturdy. The handles pulled out on two of these (one on each of two bags) which left holes in the storage unit but it was still intact otherwise. I will not buy again but will opt to spend more for a better quality. However these storage units will work in the short term.

Great items to store linens, clothes, fabric or yarn on a closet shelving system. Prevents dust from getting on stored items that you plan to use. I specifically bought these to keep large yarn on a five shelf rolling shelving storage system. I like that I can see through the plastic to make it easier to retrieve yarn for my next project while keeping dust from settling on the yarn, and keeping the yarn from rolling off of the shelf.

I bought this item to store my giant IKEA comforter in. I thought I would need this bag just to store the comforter. But its surprizingly spacious! It not only fit the comforter but also 2 more queen size quilts and a full size quilt. I could have stuffed more but thought it better not to stuff too much in case it ripped while moving it. It looks sturdy enough for the purpose. I didnt carry it or drag it around too much so I cannot attest for that, but I definitely plan to purchase one more to store the rest of the linens and comforters I have.
