I have been scouring the web for a small smart trash can that fits my aesthetic. I love the design of this one, and I love how the lid opens without taking up space. I am so impressed by how it auto-seals with the touch of a button. I highly recommend this trash can for anyone looking for a sleek smart trash can. This is the best thing I’ve bought in a long time.

I got this trash can because I saw it at my friend’s apartment. It’s so flippin’ cute and surprisingly easy to use. I cannot recommend this enough.Friendly tip, if your trash gets a little full, press the outside white button to open the lid. With the lidopen this allows the trash to fall tothe bottom and redistribute. Then you can auto seal with the lid open. I’ve learned you shouldn’t push trash down with your hands as it kinda messes up the trash bag alignment.

So, let's make this short and sweet.Pros:Looks awesome.Works well...usually. Best if you don't let it get too full.Futuristic x10.Cons:Small-ish capacity.Another thing I have to plug in and charge...sigh. It's better than replacing alkaline batteries I suppose.Outrageous bag costs.It's a fun, cool, futuristic trash can. But at the end of the day, $110 for a 6 pack of "trash bag rings" works out to over 60 cents per bag. Most kitchen-size garbage bags cost 10-20 cents each. Small can bags can be had for much less. So you'll probably want to work out if the economics of a $100+ trash can and $100+ trash bags is where you want to be. 4 stars, -1 star for difficult-to-swallow economics.

I bought the Optimus Technology Smart Trash Can and I love it. The self-sealing feature is great; I don't have to touch the trash. The automatic bag change is super helpful and saves me time. It's very handy, and the refill bag rings last a long time so I always have bags ready. It's a great buy for anyone wanting to make throwing away trash easier.
