TDS001 Talking Kitchen Scale with Easy to See Jug

The only reason these didn’t get five stars overall for me is because there isn’t a volume adjustment on them and it is permanently loud, but better that than too quiet to hear. They measure to 1 g which is better than the equivalence I have seen from Cobalt or RNIB and just as importantly (as far as my wife is concerned) they look much nicer too. Obviously the measuring jug takes up room to store but the scales are easy just to slot away when not in use. I haven’t used them extensively yet but I am very happy with what I have seen so far. whilst the voice isn’t quite as clear as say Daniel on the iPhone voice-over, it is perfectly clear enough and good enough for the job.

Ideal for anybody with bad eyesight.

Bought for an elderly relative with poor eye sight who loves cooking. Her only comment was they are slow to respond and you have to be patient when weighing things.

Very useful item.

If you are visually challenged then these scales are an absolute must-have. (and even if you are not). Very accurate in all weights and liquid measurements. Some don't like the sound of the voice but you will very soon treat it as a good friend.

Extremely useful for someone with failing eyesight. There doesn't appear to be a volume control and the voice is a bit loud but this is a minor point

Bought for my mum who's losing sight because of cataracts and she loves it. Makes cooking much easier for her. Easy to use.
