I was skeptical to say the least...an aluminum scope mount for my Glock for only 25 bucks??? but the photos looked good enuff for me to bite...So I crossed my fingers n hit buy. When it arrived I was happily surprised at the quality! Now i don't know the hardness of the aluminum but it doesn't feel super soft or anything. And the anodizing seems good too even! i haven't fired my gun with it yet but i don't anticipate any problems...in my opinion well worth the price i paid!!!

So to be completely honest I bought this with absolutely no intention of ever seriously using it. I’m currently in the process of making some improvements on a race gun I built a couple years ago. The gun is already set up with an optic mounted on an optic ready slide but I’m thinking about switching to forward mount position. So I bought this as sort of a “proof of concept” to see if I like having the optic in that position better than how it’s currently set up before I invest in a better (and more expensive) optic mount. For that purpose, it did its job, but that being said, this thing is an unmitigated piece of garbage. The lower part of the mount that actually attaches to the gun is way to big and I was worried that if I tightened the set screws to much it would just pop right off the frame rail, and the top rail is so narrow that I couldn’t tighten the optic enough to get it to stop rattling around. So this mount is useless for anything other then maybe air soft. I wouldn’t plan on using this on an actual gun.

First off it sticks out infront of the end of the gun by 1/4 inch, and any picatinny mounted red dot sight you could put on this thing is gonna look ridiculous. I put a pinty red green reflex sight on it and it's waaay too big and sticks out like a sore thumb. The thing itself looks cool, but if it looks stupid with anything mounted on it then what's the use. It gets considerably heavier with the whole setup on with my reflex sight. Just get the caa micro roni kit if you wanna put a sight on or get a slide with an rmr cut or get your slide milled, it'll be better than this. Also the set screws are way too small. If you tighten them down all the way they just thread all the way through and the bracket will fall off. So you can't even secure it all the way and have to resort to backing it back out right before the threads poke through so you can get any sort of stability. I guarantee the second you shoot with a sight mounted to this it's gonna get thrown off target and you'll have to sight it in again just for it to do the same thing because it's not tightened down enough because the set screws are too small. Tl;dr it kinda looks cool on a glock 19 gen 5 but the set screws are too small for it to be functional and it looks stupid with any picatinny mounted sight.

It just uses set screws to hold in place, will dig into your picatinnay and scratch up the top of the slide

OK for the money its a nice item but have to make a shim ( .080") to go under the bottom of it to tighten up on the dovetails, could have given you longer screws as well, so far on a glock 44 .22 it does work, but of course in NO WAY compares to the much higher priced carver mounts. If they had fit the dovetails better and made the sides a tiny bit beefier it would have been a super duper deal.
