VINCI Curriculum Level 1: The Curious

I bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter for her birthday and she just loves all the songs and games that are on this disc. Excellent program.

I just received my Level 1 curriculum today and was holding my breath (given the other review)while attempting to install it. In all fairness to the VINCI tablet, my installation went flawlessly once I was able to log in to Parent Mode (only took 6 or 7 attempts this time - arrrrgh!) The problem the other reviewer is experiencing must be specific to her unit or the MicroSD card she received. Having said that, I cannot give an overall glowing review of the tablet itself. Don't assume if you spend a little more $$ you will get a better product. Bad assumption, more than likely you'll be disappointed. Do your research before buying a Vinci Tablet II - it has tons of glitches that will frustrate your child as well as the parents/grandparents or whoever purchased the tablet.I also feel the price of the apps included in Level 1 is way out of line with what is available from other sources. Since this tablet is geared towards the very young, there is way too much waiting time for the apps to load. It will definitely force teach your little one PATIENCE - while you gently explain to not touch anything while it goes through its various load screens. And we are running the apps on the 8MB version, supposedly the best/fastest they have to offer as of November 2012. Some apps are even buggy. The app teaching color and shapes teaches SQUARE TRIANGE and OCTAGON. What happened to thye basics, like circles, ovals and rectangles? If I should be able to get to additional screens, my app won't scroll to any. I haven't tried all the apps yet, I may be in for more frustrating surprises.

This particular Sd card came damaged and unable to load but the support staff were able to Download it directly to the tablet without the card. The software itself it quite good for toddlers.
