WP8622L Battery+USB Powered Fish Feeder

I’ve been using this as the daily feeder for my two goldfish, and it has been reliable from day one. One of the main reasons I chose it was that it plugs into the wall but also has a battery backup. I don’t have to worry about my fish missing a feeding if the power goes out. Installation was quick and easy. The mounting bracket attaches securely to the tank, and one of my favorite design features is that the feeder itself simply lifts off the bracket for refilling. There’s no need to unscrew or remove the entire mount every time you add food. It’s a small detail, but it makes regular maintenance much more convenient. The feeder is also completely silent. I never hear it operate, which is a nice bonus in a room where I spend a lot of time. The included food hopper is more than large enough for my aquarium, and I like knowing there’s an optional larger hopper available if I ever need it. It also comes with multiple feed inserts so you can adjust the amount of food dispensed. I noticed several reviews criticizing the app, but honestly, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Yes, it’s a fairly basic Chinese app, but it has worked flawlessly for me. I didn’t have to provide any personal information to use it, it paired with the feeder quickly, and reconnects almost instantly every time I open it. Scheduling feedings is simple. I have mine set to feed every 12 hours. One feature that isn’t immediately obvious is that if none of the included feed inserts dispense exactly the amount your fish need, you can simply schedule multiple feedings at the same feeding time. That lets you fine tune the portion size much more precisely. The app also keeps a history of every feeding, so I can verify that it fed when it was supposed to. It alerts me when the food level is getting low, and it even includes a maintenance reminder where I can track my aquarium cleaning schedule and see how many days remain until the next water change. One unexpected benefit has been my fish’s behavior. Since installing this feeder, my goldfish don’t beg nearly as much. They’re on a consistent feeding schedule and no longer associate me with every meal. Overall, I think this feeder is an excellent value for everything it offers. It’s quiet, reliable, thoughtfully designed, and the app provides more useful features than I expected. I would absolutely buy it again.

I really like this product because when I’m gone, I schedule it and it feeds automatically. It’s plugged in so the batteries are not needed and will never die. The app that you download is cool that’s where you schedule your feedings. Only thing is is when your phone connect to your feeder you’re at home, but when you leave your home, it can’t connect to your feeder. Just heads up.

Do not purchase this fish feeder. It is not reliable. I tested it prior to leaving for vacation and it worked. The day I left it no longer worked and my fish were not being fed. I ended up having to have a friend go over to feed them. Piece of junk dont waste your money or kill your fish.

It worked well for a few months then it died! At first it was inconsistent with dispensing the food, then it stopped all together. I tried to clean the dispensing tray, but that didn't help. The description on Amazon says that it has a 2 year warranty. I've tried to contact Amazon to see if I can get a refund or replacement but no luck so far. I think that this feeder would work best with pellitized food. I think that the reason that it doesn't work now is that the flake food gummed up the dispensing tray. If you use pellitized food this might be worth considering

Love the feeder and the simplicity. The battery seems to last a good while. The only reason for the subpar rating is because the app does not stay connected to the phone through bluetooth. This presents a problem if you're not at home to reconnect it, which is every time you open the app.

I have two of these. 1 is WiFi driven. The other is Bluetooth with battery. The WiFi one works great for vacations where I can adjust feeding without being home. The Bluetooth is great for routine feedings without the worry if a power outage occurs.

I have this set up with the smallest square and it’s perfect to feed my new born guppies. It works great app is easy to use, set up was a breeze. Fits a little funky on the tank but still made it work every tank is different

I have a 29g tank and I house sit alot. It's perfect for my feeding schedule I feed MWF and fast for a weekend and this feeder gives me the flexibility I need to set those perimeters. I tested it without my blue tooth on to see if it would function solo and it does. You just can't modify anything until you turn blue tooth on.
