Really good .Used to make Portuguese Chocolate salami ๐ good deep chocolate taste and almost black colour everyone loved it

Black, lumpy and it gets everywhere.
I have just got this and I eagerly opened the packet. That's where the bother began. It isn't the finest of powders, it is black and it literally gets everywhere. It is the colour of Coal and it has big lumps in it like Coal. Getting it out of the packet and into a smaller container for ease of dispensing was flipping awful. As I said, this stuff gets everywhere. I don't know how it tastes yet. I don't bake with it, if I did it would need sifting and I literally couldn't be bothered with that carry on. I got it into an old Coffee jar and intend to get it out of that. I use it for the health benefits in my overnight Oats with Cinnamon and Turmeric. I can't imagine what it will resemble with this stuff in it. Now, I knew it was Black when I ordered it, so that was my fault. I'll see what it tastes like soon enough and report back on that. I feel really unfair knocking a star off because it clearly says it is Black Cocoa, but it is far from a powder and a pain in the backside to use so far.

Deep Colour, Smooth Flavour & Perfect for Frosting
Fantastic black cocoa powder. Gave a beautiful deep colour to my frosting without any bitterness. Blended smoothly and delivered a rich, balanced chocolate flavour. Excellent quality โ would definitely purchase again.

Great texture and intense unsweetened flavour
Regardless of mixed reviews I thought I'd try this black cocoa as I'd never heard of it as a baking ingredient. I've been using bog standard baking cocoa to make keto chocolate mascapone pudding, mixing a little plant milk, sweetening with monk fruit powder...and this black cocoa powder is most definitely my new go to...the powder is really finely ground so it mixed well and gave a beautiful silky texture to my pudding and I love intense chocolate so I'm very happy. On opening the packet It does smell and taste earthy without sweetening which says to me it's a genuine unadulterated product. Very glad I tried it this.

Horrendous product smells and tastes horrible
This product is horrendous. DO NOT PURCHASE I Brought this product to help make my black buttercream darker quicker without using so much coco powder and black food colouring. But what a total disaster this product is!! It has an awful smell to it and an even worse taste to it. When you open the bag straight away you can smell the strong iron like smell which lingers and it is even worse once mixed with the buttercream. It ruined my whole cake and I had to start again costing more money to purchase more ingredients to fix it! No not buy and if it had a 0 star I would give that!

Love Oreo's?
Yes this powder is more expensive than regular cocoa powder, but for me it's worth every penny. The taste is akin to Oreos: it's much less bitter than the brown stuff you can pick up in the supermarkets. I love baking and since using this in my cookies and cakes I haven't looked back.

It is very black and very bitter. And the biggest disadvantage is no matter how much it is cooked, it creaks after cooking.
