get your steps in without having to worry about slipping
like most of the country we have been in a deep freeze for about a week. light snow fell for two days, and since that time the thermometer has only made it to 32 for a few hours. walking in the snow was fine until a couple days ago when we had freezing rain and then freezing fog…when taking the garbage out proved a harrowing experience, I felt it was a good time to pull out the yaktrax. even though the windchill is 2 the dogs and I have been dying to get out and walk. I returned several “copy cat” products before stepping up to the yaktrax. even though I may only wear them a couple of days a year, I could tell many would break because of poor construction or inferior materials, others where just too small for work boots. I bought a pair of XXL yaktrax to fit over my size 13, 8” insulated boots and they fit perfectly, moreover, they worked to perfection. they allowed me to go places I would never consider and had zero concern - as sure footed as a yak (I suppose). we live on a bay off a huge lake that had frozen over…even out there my traction was excellent and I had a good walk with the dogs… I also like how easy they are to put on and take off. I used to wear an old pair of metal spiked, golf shoes when it got cold…but those aren’t insulated and it’s real easy to end up with wet feet. Nor do I want to spend several hundred dollars on a special boot. this way I can wear whatever I want to and be assured of traction. I do recommend sizing up one size if you are going over hiking or work boots. the construction of yaktrax is simple but robust. I think the rubber is strong and isn’t going to snap in a year like some I looked at. lastly, yaktrax aren’t going to impair your traction on a clean surface either and that’s what has sold me on them. I highly recommend these for anyone who likes to get out irrespective of what mother nature throws at you.

Best cleats, worth the money
Got these for my husband. We both work delivery and he says that these cleats are the best he's ever gotten. I was a little skeptical when we opened them and the grips were completely round, not oval shaped like a boot, apparently that's what makes them great though. They have never slipped off and they're very durable. He did break one because he misstepped a curb, but believe me when I say that I'm amazed at how well they have stood up to the extreme pounding of the pavement that he does. He weighs over 250lbs and will throw a 120lb pkg over his shoulder and run with it, and he does this several times throughout his route. He has a heavy route and has anywhere from 180-330 stops, 6 days a week. It took a cement curb with over 350lbs of weight on it to break so, yes, I'm thoroughly impressed with these cleats. I ordered him a new pair, even though the price increased $11 because they are definitely worth the money.

Great quality, definitely worth the purchase
I have used other cleats, but these are the best. They are easy to put on and take off, the fit is perfect and I'm not worried about slipping around on the ice. I live in Alaska and use these daily in the winter, weather it's getting back and forth to work, a visit to the grocery store, or just checking the mail. I am safe in these and I'm not worried about slipping and falling.

Excellent for their purpose, but not very durable.
These are excellent for the tasks I bought then to do: walking on slippery hilly sidewalks, covered with frozen-slush ridges. The pointy teeth are much more non-slip than the original YakTrax with the spiral-wire design. But there are some caveats: * I find them a big hassle to put on and off my heavy-rubber boots, so I just leave them on all winter. * When coming inside, you have to take the boots (or just the cleats) off at the door. They destroy floors. * I wouldn't use these on lighter-weight rubber boots -- they would be chewed up. * They only lasted one winter for me, with about 30 total days of slippery dog-walking. I left the boots, with these on, in the garage when warmer weather came, and the wires and links rusted badly, with one unit coming apart. Perhaps this corrosion would not have happened if I had taken the Trax off the boots, washed off the salty chemicals, and perhaps oiled them for storage, but you never know when winter is actually over. But the compan should use better materials on the wires and chain-links if they want customers to get multi-years of low-intensity use from them. The warranty is only 90 days.

They work.
They work great on packed snow that is potentially slippery. When ordering if you want to put them on your shoes order the size that fits your shoes. If putting them on boots go a lot larger. As boots are made bigger than shoes of the same size. I have a size 8 boot and ordered an extra large. They are easy to put on and takeoff while wearing. Another review talked the durability. To ensure they last longer rinse them off after wearing, let them dry completely before putting away.

Good grip and durability
I got these in January of 2022, I work outside in all kinds of terrible conditions. Normally I put them on my boots and won't take them off till the snow melts. I've walked on asphalt, concrete and everything in-between and they held up for 4 years before I had to replace them . My coworkers always asked me about them because I would have traction in places they couldn't even walk with the company provided ice cleats. Only complaint I have with them is you do have to keep the chains clean from ice and debris sometimes that can be difficult but they are well worth the money in my opinion

I think I could actually walk on water.
I truly think that I could possibly walk on water with these Yaktrax Diamond Grip's. No, seriously. Having been, a native San Diegan now living in Minnesota I have been so so fearful of slipping and falling while out walking during the winter. I just received these today, it is currently 14° out and it has recently snowed. I can walk confidently and without the fear of falling on slippery sidewalks. If you were considering purchasing this product I would highly encourage you to choose to do so. It makes all the difference when out walking on icy slick surfaces. I would rate them a ten, if given that option. Don't walk, but run to purchase a pair.

Great product. Poor sizing guide.
Nice design, quality materials that seem durable. However, I'm taking one star off due to sizing issues. DO NOT GO BY THE SHOE SIZES LISTED!!! The box clearly states add one shoe size for boots (11.5 to 12.5 for me) and add two shoe sizes for insulated boots (11.5 to 13.5 for me.)
