Excellent variable ND filter, but be mindful of the x-pattern at higher stops
For BMPCC4K I have been using this K&F Concept 58mm Variable ND Filter for about a month now, and overall I am very satisfied with the quality and performance. It is well-built, slim, and comes with nice extras like a filter cap and cleaning cloth. The rotation is smooth and it fits securely on my lenses without causing vignetting at lower stops. In terms of performance, the “True Color” claim holds up quite well in my experience. Compared to other budget ND filters I’ve tried before, this one introduces very minimal color cast, which saves me a lot of time in post-processing. It performs beautifully in bright outdoor settings, helping to achieve silky smooth water shots and properly exposed videos without cranking up shutter speed. That said, like with all variable ND filters, you should be aware of the x-pattern (cross pattern) issue when pushing it to the higher end of its range. Once you go beyond about 7 stops, the x-pattern can start to appear, especially with wide-angle lenses or if shooting in very bright conditions. This isn’t a flaw specific to this product, but rather a limitation of variable ND filter technology in general. I simply avoid maxing it out and plan my shots accordingly — staying in the lower to mid-range stops avoids the issue completely and still gives me plenty of flexibility. Overall, for the price, this ND filter delivers fantastic value. It’s great for travel, landscape, and video work. Just be aware of how to use it properly to avoid the cross pattern effect. If used within its optimal range, it produces clean, sharp, and color-accurate results. Highly recommended for budget-conscious photographers and videographers who know the limits of variable NDs.

Great filter if you are on a budget
As a beginner with photography and videography, this ND filter does exactly what I need it to do. I believe that for the price, it provides a great value. The material doesn't feel cheap at all. The filter doesn't impact color quality so far from what I've seen. I haven't tested it on a bright day yet but with my ring light and bright lamp, I haven't seen any glaring. So I believe that there is glare reduction. The thickness is perfect and fits my lens perfectly. Overall, I would say don't push it too much as you will get the X effect on your image. Just setup your composition carefully and you will be just fine while using this filter. It's not perfect but for the price and build quality, especially if you are on a budget and just starting with your camera, this is a great choice.

Your lens best friend.
This ND filter is a life saver on harsh lights or any kind of lighting! Kinda set the mood and helps you when it’s needed. Good quality, protects your lens, cheap but feels line a million bucks.

Handy Variable ND for Bright Sunny Vacations – Made My GH4 Shots Pop in Anguilla
Bought this K&F Concept 46mm variable ND2-ND400 filter (1-9 stops adjustable) a while back and threw it in the bag for a trip to Anguilla, perfect timing for those super bright Caribbean days. Screwed it right onto my Panasonic GH4 lens (it matched the thread perfectly), and it let me tame the harsh sunlight without cranking the ISO or stopping up too much. The twist adjustment is smooth, and I could dial in just the right amount of darkening for balanced exposures, super useful for keeping skies blue and details popping, rather than everything blowing out. Got some really nice shots during the day: portraits, beach scenes, and especially loved pulling off long exposures on the water and waves, those silky smooth ocean looks with blurred motion came out clean and fun. No weird aliasing or X-cross patterns showed up in my shots (even when pushing it darker), which was a relief since I've heard variable NDs can get funky at extremes. Colors stayed neutral enough, no major shifts or softness that bugged me, and the multi-coating helped cut flare in that intense sun. The included cap and cloth were nice bonuses, kept it protected in the sand and humidity. Pros: Adjustable from light to heavy ND in one filter—super convenient for travel/vacation shooting Worked flawlessly on the GH4 in bright conditions; enabled creative long exposures without hassle No noticeable aliasing/X-cross or quality drop in my real-world use Compact, easy to carry, and the build feels solid for the price Came in clutch for sunny beach days—made getting great shots way easier Cons: Like most budget variables, it might show issues (color cast or cross) at max darkness on wider lenses, but I didn't hit that limit Not the absolute premium glass (some high-end ones are sharper), but for fun/vacation use, it's more than good enough Minor thing: the adjustment ring can feel a bit stiff at first, but it loosens up Overall, I like it a lot—turned bright, harsh vacation light into creative opportunities and delivered solid results with the GH4. If you're traveling to sunny spots and want one filter to handle ND needs (especially for long exposures or video), this one's a fun, reliable pick. Still glad I brought it along. Solid 4.5/5—great vibes from those Anguilla shots!

Great ND lens for starters
I am just starting out in photography and this ND lens is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Helps so much with my photos without cranking ISO, Shutter speed etc. Photo attached was captured on the ZVE10, 55-210mm lens with the ND filter.

Good ND filter
Good filter. I use it mainly for photography. I haven’t shot much video with it yet, but so far I haven’t had any issues. It’s also nice that they include the lens cap, case, and cleaning cloth. It’s a good deal!

Good build quality/screws on smoothly to the lens.
Very easy to use variable neutral density filter. I used it for creating motion blur of waves swashing to the seashore. Very good build quality. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Good value VND
This VND is great. Colour shift is minimal and having such a wide range of 2-400 is excellent when going from bright sunlight to shade. A lovely bonus is it came with a decent lens cap with connector lanyard and a cleaning cloth. There is a slight X pattern when pushed all the way to 400 but that might be due to my use case as I have it mounted on a Moment 18mm Wide Lens on my iPhone 12 Pro.

Appreciate filter cap!
Great filter! Also has a filter cap which makes it so much easier to just put it on a lens and leave it on. Great quality, as always. I had another filter for my 85 mm lens CPL&ND and I’m happy with both! Recommended!
