This item is the perfect size to target every area of swelling, itching, and pain after my hip replacement. I am just under 5’7” and around 180 lbs, and it fits perfectly. It is always kind of pliable, not too hard. I wear it for 15-20 minutes, then fold it upon itself for an hour, and I am able to wear it again for another 15-20 minutes without re-freezing it. It doesn’t get wet with thawing. I then put it back in the freezer for another hour. It always seems cold enough and is always as comfortable as possible. The straps fit perfectly with plenty of extra room on the waist and the thigh. These Velcro straps are strong enough to adjust how low or high I want it. I chose it based on how low it looked like it would fit my leg since I have swelling in various spots. I’m very satisfied with this product. One less hassle in what can be a somewhat traumatic and scary surgery experience.

This hip ice pack is great. Covers your whole hip and upper leg. Straps on easy, and if tight enough stays in place. Lasts around a hour of good cooling. Would definitely recommend.

I love the size of it but it is kind of heavy. It slides down and doesn’t stay in place. The waist strap seems too stretchy or not sturdy enough to keep in place. It does work well while sitting or laying down. It has good flexibility for the size and it stays cold a long time

The ice pack freezes quickly and stays frozen on the hip/upper thigh for a prolonged period, relieving pain and swelling. If you’re planning hip surgery, I suggest ordering this ahead of time so you’ll have it when you arrive home. The Velcro straps are wide and easy to fasten the ice pack to the body. The ice pack is soft, durable, and of excellent quality. It’s easy to apply when frozen. I can easily lay it flat in the freezer so it doesn’t take up valuable real estate. I liked the product so much that I bought the second one, so I always have an ice pack ready to use. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 208 pounds. The extra-large size is a perfect fit for my body. I had surgery on September 9, 2025. Everything that could go wrong. It has gone bad after surgery. My hip has popped out of the socket thoroughly once and in and out at other times, the pain is excruciating!! These ice packs are a lifesaver. I’m lying in bed right now with one behind my hip and one at the front of my thigh where the surgery was done. I’d be lost without them! They work better than the pain medicine. IMO. These ice packs are honestly the best I’ve ever purchased, and I will rebuy them. If you’re going to surgery, you want to get these beforehand and have them ready to use when you get home. They are the real deal!

This is a must have for total hip replacement. It’s comfortable, easy to put on, take off, and it gets cold very fast. I whole order two of these so you can rotate them.

Ordered this for when my boyfriend had a hip replacement. Size is great to wrap around the hip area, is durable for lots of reuse and stays cold for a really good period of time. Was perfect for what we needed. The straps hold really nicely to keep in place as well.

I am in my second week of recovery following anterior hip replacement surgery. Frequent icing of the hip, thigh and incision area after the surgery is highly recommended. I have several other ice packs but none were completely effective at hitting all the areas I need to reach. This excellent hip ice wrap does the job perfectly. It’s easy to put on and adjust, and it completely covers my hip and the front of my thigh. I can even walk with it on if needed. I use it for 23-30 minutes at a time and it stays cold throughout. This wrap is well made, easy to use and, most importantly, effective. I highly recommend it!
