I love peanut chews. I’ve been eating them since the 80s. My siblings knew not to mess with my peanut chews. I used to hide them. If you’re looking for something healthy look somewhere else. If you can eat just one, God bless you. I run through them like crazy.

As the title says, I'm just saying, if you put these in the freezer next to Snickers they will literally beat the ever loving cr#p out of them!! 🤣 Still the best!!!!!

There is something about these candies that takes the combination of peanuts and dark chocolate to another level. You might expect to hear me say that about some expensive gourmet chocolate, but not an inexpensive, mass-produced product like Goldenberg Peanut Chews. I don't know what it is, but they taste really good. I have a bowl full on my desk at work and, when a co-worker tastes one for the first time, their eyes invariably widen with surprise, followed by the comment "that is REALLY good"! I can't refill the bowl fast enough - the candies are that well liked - so I'm buying them in bulk now! If my superlatives make me sound like a paid reviewer, that's a risk I'll have to take. Be assured that I am not; I simply enjoy this candy more than any other chocolate product. I've eaten a lot of excellent chocolate, but I can't seem to eat fewer than three of these at a time....

So I bought this for Halloween b/c I let my Costco membership lapse and I didn't want to go broke buying candy at the grocery store. (Also, is it me or has the content of the special Halloween-sized bags of candy been halved but the price increased?) Every review should have some pros and cons; here are mine: Pros - Having only only one type of candy (in bulk) meant that each kid was able to take a handful and we still had plenty for the rest. - The candy wrappers are slippery so even the greediest kid was only able to snag about 6. - If a kid had a nut allergy, they or their parent figured out that they should avoid the candy because the word "Peanut" is in the name. (Yes, I had to point this out once) Cons - Having only 1 candy meant that I had to have a "Plan B" for the kids with nut allergies. I printed out a mini flyer (from Pop Cap Games and the ADA) that had a code for a free full version of "Plants vs. Zombies" which I gave to these kids. - Peanut Chews are delicious and addictive and not available in my area so, while I'm glad they're gone, I look forward to having the excuse to get another bag next year. Bonus: I didn't go hoarse / nuts telling every-single-kid to "Save some for others." and "Only take one, please."

Someone in my office brought these in and I was delighted to find them Gluten and Milk free. (There is a warning about being produced on equipment that also produces items with milk) Searched Amazon and was able to find them , they are very good and the dark chocolate & peanut mix is exceptional. I will keep a stock of them handy.
