Easy and quick connection.
Works really well. Just plug it in to the back of the drive and your off. It's very simple and quick to connect. The only thing to be mindful of is, while it is a good connection, it is not difficult to disconnect so just be careful when it's in operation. A good inexpensive solution to reading old drives outside of the PC. Once finished using it wraps up nice and tight to put away.

Must have for Linux systems
This SATA to usb adaptor is essiential for those wanting to run TRIM on external SSD's especially on Linux based systems such as Proxmox. The connectivity and speed is excellent, also i think its reasonably priced.

Really handy cable to have. But beware !
Really handy cable to have, easily sort out those old 3.5 drives you’ve got hanging around, quickly see their content without having to open your system. Beware though that the adapter doesn’t firmly sit in place, comes adrift all too easily, use suitably sized elastic bands for peace of mind !

So far so good.
I’ve tried other cheaper manufacturers in the past which were unreliable, with drives disconnecting randomly over time. Decided to go with reputable brand this time. Quality item, no issues so far connecting a 6TB drive and using with RPI4 and open media vault.

Great for transfers from old HDDs
Worked very well to get some files off an old hard drive I had lying around. Transfer rates were variable due to lots of small files, but certainly fast enough. My current PC only has USB 3.0, soon I will have a new PC with USB 3.1gen2 so I can test that. But checking with Linux lsusb does confirm it is a USB 3.1 device. Always a useful bit of kit to have around. UPDATE: Have got my new PC with USB 3.1 gen2. On Linux, seeing a transfer rate of over 250MB/s from a SSD to an HDD. Very impressed.

Essential tool but has one issue
This is a good quality, high speed tool for working with SSDs and HDDs. Technically it works very well but the one issue that is a real pain is that the power lead from the adapter that plugs into the interface is way too short. It barely reaches the top of a standard desk when the DC adapter is plugged into a power strip on the floor. For a professional grade product this is poor and it should have had a longer cable, e.g. at least 2m. Very frustrating!

Great VFM
Brilliant, if you have more than one hard drive you need one of these.

Windows 10.

Works as intended, and then some.
So, first off, I had a Powered Sata to USB adapter (i think it was usb 2.0?) and sadly, the signal cut out over and over (different brand and older). So, I honestly bought this one. The price made me a bit hesitant. But I am glad I did. First off, its solid. It doesn't feel like junk in your hand. It doesn't rattle. And best of all, it just works. I recently bought a 6 TB harddrive as my main storage drive, so I had to transfer over my 2 TB drive, and my 100 GB drive onto the 6TB. Down the road I will grab another 6 TB and use windows to link them together as one larger 12 TB drive. My first surprise was the ability to work with my 100 GB drive, which was originally formatted using IDE protocols through SATA, which most motherboards now don't even support..... So the only real way to get my newer PC to recognize the drive, would be to format it, but then I lose my important work data. So using this USB 3.1 adapter, it actually found my drive at let me get my files off it. Which is fantastic. My older adapter form another brand refused to see this drive.... Then of course, the 2TB drive went off without a hitch. My older adapter would cut in and out causing data transfer issues, and then it wouldn't allow you to retry, you had to start all over again. This one, not a single issue. My transfer speeds were around 10 Mbps to 130 Mbps which is pretty damn good considering its just an adapter, with speeds staying more in the 80-110 Mbps range. My older adapter, barely hit 30 Mbps, and sat more around 5-15 Mbps. Very pleased with the build quality, as well as the data transfer speeds.
