Amazing device, mediocre software, zero customer support
This little thermal camera is incredibly impressive, especially considering the size. But the software is buggy and requires unnecessary permissions. Worse, customer services is non-existent: they never replied to my emails. The device itself has great resolution (for the price) and seems to be accurate. It's really quite revolutionary given the cost of thermal cameras in the past. But software is an afterthought. Taking pictures *requires* location permissions to be enabled, and recording videos just results in a scrambled mess of pixels. But I do like that the output of the camera seems to be friendly to those who want to write their own apps, as we've already seen some open source apps on Linux (possibly other OSes too?) which are able to read the image and data from the camera. That gives me hope that even if the manufacturers disappear or abandon the product in the years to come, it's not going to become a paperweight (a very ineffective paperweight - it's really small and light). But the worst part is the Infiray doesn't respond to customer support emails. So it would seem that if you have a problem, you're at the mercy of the (somewhat small) community of other users. If Infiray can fix their app and get better at support, this could be a five-star product.

Video feature doesn't work on Android 14
The media could not be loaded. The camera works fine. It's really cool to see the infrared pictures. Although I was very disappointed in the video feature. As you can see by the attached video all I get a horizontal lines. To me that's a deal breaker. So I'll probably be returning this. It really stinks I wanted this camera for a while. Although I had an idea, I hadn't older Google pixel phone running Android 13. And took videos with that and they worked fine. So it's an update issue. But I do not want to carry around two phones. So until this is corrected I'll return this one and buy it again one and if they update the software. I don't have much faith in it though because i did email them and haven't gotten a response yet. It's been a few days. Hope this helps.
