Finally! These are really great batteries. I've been using the standard Eneloops for years. The standard cells do a decent job in low draw condition but using them for anything else that's power hungry, like powering LED headlamps and they draw down quickly. I'll continue using all the standard Eneloop cells I've got but any additional purchases will be the high capacity models. Charge life wise they seem to be on par with the standard Duracell batteries, which aren't bad except when they die, it's onto a new battery and out with the old (recycle of course).

These are the best long life batteries I have used especially in cold weather.

Longest lasting NiMH I have found. I test with a West Mountain Radio CBA tester and a Maha charger that shows how many mAh go into each cell. Eneloops actually meet their specs and also have low self-discharge. They work really well in camera flashes and other intermittent high-current uses, better than alkaline disposables. I have many of these Eneloops that are up to 10 years old and still work well.

Rated 1.2v which makes it drain fast for 1.5v demands

These batteries are in a whole nother class than the rest they last many times long than the budget rechargables (trust me I have purchased and used 5-6 different brands as well as duracell & energizer) and none compare. The regular Eneloops are also far better and can be recharged 1,000 times (the pros only 500). They also hold their charge far better than the others while on the shelf (without using them for awhile) they are supposed to hold 90% for up to 10 years I can't speak to that though>

Yes I also have the amazon home brand, but these are so much better. Have not a failing one yet.

Nice to have some rechargeable batteries that hold a charge for a useable length of time for doing audio recording. The charge time is pretty long, but that’s because they have greater capacity. The biggest problem that I have with rechargeable batteries is that sometimes the plastic coating they put on the cylinders fray at circular ends near + - contact points. I am not sure if this is due to normal wear and tear or because they do warm up quite a bit during the charging process. In any case I’ve taken a star off because I think the plastic needs to be better.
