Sturdy, reliable stove at a great price.
Amazing product. The build quality is impressive. It lights every single time. It was compatible with the cheapo Coleman canister I could get at Walmart. We used this hard on a 3 week long trip. It didn't disappoint. I've used this and a Jetboil - I'd choose this over the Jetboil any day. It boils insanely fast, it's lightweight, and more versatile. I don't have experience with a Pocket Rocket or other high end stoves - so I can't compare it to those. Because of how fast this boils, I now grow impatient waiting for my stove and electric kettle at home to boil. I'm about ready to start boiling my pour over water on the porch with the Firemaple instead.

Great backpacking stove at good price
This stove is lightweight, small, adjustable, a great price, and can accomodate most cook pots, but perfectly fits the Petrel G3 (and G2) camping pot, making for good cooking/boiling stability. The piezoelectric igniter is a great addition, works every time.

Works great, easy to set up.
Feels super well made. Folds down to a great small size. paired with Firemaples G2 or G3 pot this thing boils water fast and efficiently. Has great wind protection and provides plenty of support for your pot.

Excellent stove
Received this a few days ago and testing it before using it on my trip. Pros: Good construction Igniter works each time I tested it so far (20x) Good seal around canister stem (no gas leak when tightening like others sometimes do) Strong flame output and adjustable to create a low fire simmer Lightweight and compact when folded up Excellent low price Cons: Only con I have is that there is no regulator for cold climate use I'd buy this stove again and recommend it for anybody needing a good stove and on a budget.

Great little stove!
I got this stove to replace my lost MSR PocketRocket 2 and was very surprised at how well made and functional it was. It fit the butane/propane tank nicely, and came with a built in spark lighter that easily started the flame. At a cost of only 40% of what the MSR stove cost me, it is a great deal so I can highly recommend it to those of you who love backpacking and camping and like to keep the equipment small and light.

Great first stove
I got this with the Fire Maple Petrel pot since they're supposed to pair well after reading about it in another review. I don't know if I used the right fuel but the description said isobutane only, but all I can find is Isobutane-propane mix so I used it. Didn't seem to take any damage so I guess it's the right mix. Anyway, I packed a bunch of foods in mylar bags and decided to try this before my upcoming trip and I'm glad I did. Perhaps it's the fact it's 100f weather outside, but it boiled 1.5c in under a minute at MAYBE 1/3-open. Unfortunately the rubber on the handle of the pot did melt a little but I honestly didn't expect it to actually work. Ir maybe I need to turn it down further? Awesome if that's the case. At any rate, very happy with this stove since starting a campfire where I will be camping is a dumb idea with how dry it will be. Edit, 10/30/24: I've had the opportunity to finally cook with this thing in the low 60's and high 50's, and if it doesn't have a gas pressure regulator in it, I'll be surprised. I'm able to cook my soups and even an actual meal of sausage, peppers and onions in tomato sauce on it using a small ceramic lined titanium skillet I borrowed from a friend and it's doing great. I'm actually still on the first canister of the size that is marketed to fit in the pot I mentioned above, and I've cooked or warmed up food or water about 17 times now. I found that I did have the heat up too high and that's why the rubber on my pot's handle melted, so that's on me. On that bit, just being patient and letting it do its thing is what I believe I owe to having lasted through the first canister for so long. It's getting low now, but still impressive. Also, the piezo is working less now, but I attribute that to the wind here, as it's pretty windy. I typically just have to open it up a bit more then wait a second or two before clicking it. There IS one arm starting to stick, so I think I might put something on it to try to get it to loosen up. Gotta think about that one though so I don't burn it up. Overall, incredibly impressed and happy with this purchase. Edit 3/7/26: going to clarify that it was the Greenpeak 1 and Petrel G3 since they updated the names and have more options on here now. Turns out the piezo wasn't going bad, it just didn't have the pressure valve and I needed to turn it up more. The arm that started to stick works fine now, just needed to be broken in a bit more. I also upgraded to the Ramen Pot and I'm incredibly satisfied now, it nests that orange tripod stand, this stove and a rolled up handkerchief just fine.

writing titles is the hardest part of a review
This, the Fire Maple Greenpeak, is the stove I’d recommend someone to buy. How it compares to other stoves I own, the BRS 3000T, the Fire Maple FMS 116T, the Soto Windmaster 4Flex and Triflex, the BLUU Mount (Jetboil copy), and the Wadeo. 1. It handles the wind much better than the BRS. 2. The three arms go straight out, so it is compatible with the Fire Maple G3 Petrel pot, unlike the Fire Maple FMS 116T. 3. It’s much cheaper than the Soto Windmaster, and you don’t have to buy something extra like the Triflex for the Soto, and you don’t have to worry about losing the unattached arms, like the Soto. 4. The arms lock in place, unlike the FMS 116T or any stove that has hinges in the arms. 5. It’s much lighter than the Wadeo and the BLUU Mount. 6. It has an igniter, unlike the BRS and the Wadeo. 7. It has a wider head, unlike the BRS, and it’s inset which makes it more wind resistant, like the Soto. 8. It’s shorter than the Soto, so it fits inside pots better. Drawbacks: 1. If your pot is very thin, such as a mug or a Grayl titanium, then the arms might go farther apart than you’d like. The Soto’s arms start very close to the center, and the BRS’s arms are also very close in. 2. The wide bottom might keep you from connecting it to a fuel canister like the Coleman butane/propane mix. The Soto has the same bottom and the same problem. You’ll have to turn it really tight, much tighter than you wish, and then it can be an issue to get off. But it works for most other fuel canisters. Um, that’s it. Final thoughts: 1. If someone said the Soto is a better stove, I’d understand, but it’s also four times the price with the Triflex. And putting the arms on is more of a hassle. 2. The real kicker is how popular the BRS is, and this is basically the same price. This is way better than the BRS. Sure, it weighs an extra 1.5 ounces (if you add a lighter to the weight of the BRS), but it’s better in every other way: head size, arm stability, and igniter. 3. I hate the FMS, don’t get that. It’s worse, and is twice the price. 4. The Wadeo and the BLUU Mount (or any Jetboil-style stove) are just too big and heavy. Buy this. It checks all the boxes.

Great compact stove!
I was skeptical of the quality of this stove for the price, but after a week of using it at scout camp, I'm a believer. This stove is super easy to use with standard MSR fuel canisters. Simply screw the canister onto the burner, place it on a flat and level surface for stability, turn on the gas valve, and push the igniter button, instant cooking BTUs! The design is compact and lightweight, but the materials seem very durable. Great for backpacking or even to stash in a bug-out kit with a spare MSR fuel canister for emergencies, it's a great little stove. Not as fast as a jet boil, but a hell of a lot cheaper and more versatile.
