Happy Cactus: Choose It, Love It, Let It Thrive

I have accumulated a small collection of cacti and wanted a simple book which would help me to look after them properly. I have previously killed cacti through over watering and I wanted to ensure that I did not do the same again. This is a great little book for beginners like me. It is simply and clearly written with good quality illustrations. I particularly liked the way the main points are set out making it very easy to read and absorb. There are 3 main sections. The 1st section helps you to identify the plants which you own. The 2nd section covers the basics of how to look after your cacti and then the final section provides profiles of 105 different cacti and succulents. This section gives you specific instructions relating to each particular cactus. Altogether this is a very useful book for beginners like me who don't want screeds of detailed instructions.

This a great little book. It’s well written and informative but not boring to read. The illustrations and writing is cute. It’s not a holistic guide, but it certainly is a happy addition to my book shelf.

Excellent little book, just right, great images and good information, nice to just pick up and flick through as well as really informative on the care of cacti (I have a collection of 27 Cacti now!) I have bought another of these for a friend for Christmas, highly recommend, hope they do more in this series.

This is the work of a master of the subject. He has written many tomes for experts, and distils the information from them as a foundation book for a beginner. I think that it is the best introduction to choosing and growing cacti and other succulent plants which I have found.

Ok for what I wanted not a lot of information but enough for a beginner like me to grow my first cactus was in the book I think basic information of about hundred or so cactus and succulents

Very informative and covers many different cacti

This book is a good quick source to ID cacti and succulents that are readily available in most plant departments. It gives you quick and honest care tips and tells you unlike other books on similar topics, how to best treat the plants to get them to flower. I recommend this book for any beginner starting out into this area of plant interest.

Good book for beginners to understand everything about cacti and succulents.

Love this book. I got it as a present for my mom who recently had a stroke. The photos and wording make it so easy to understand and identify plants!
