Quite surprised how easy this was to fit. Simple use a volt meter to find blue fuses (15A) where one is live without the ignition turned on and the other only goes live when ignition is on. Simply replace the kits fused wire with each fuse. Find an earth / ground point and screw thet other wire to the metal of the car. Done. I faffed about double and treble checking because the instructions didnt tell me that their wires with fuses on were 15A fuses (I know nothing about cars) but a quick check on what the fuses were using AI and job done. I could have done it in 3 minutes had I just replaced fuses by the colour (Blue). Anyway, the cable length is plenty and I simply plugged into my GKU e200 dash cam and that was it.

Not used it yet but the kit looks OK, I'm still not 100% sure it will work on my car I've not checked the fuses yet, However it was listed for my vehicle.

The kit looks good enough. I would have installed it by now if it had come with any fuse adapters. The description says: *Note: The fuse adapter of this hardwire kit is mini-sized. If your car doesn't fit mini-size, search B0CTX8CMY4 for our another kit with four different sizes: Low-Profile Mini, Mini, ATO (Regular), and Micro2." There were no fuse adapters in the kit I received. Fuse Taps are Trivial item, but kit is useless without them. Ordering some from another supplier on Amazon, hope they as good as GKU own...

Firstly it's not GKU branded - not a big issue but I only got this to 'match' my camera brand. The cable length from the DC to DC converter box to the USB C connector is only 2 meters not 3.5 . Yes the whole end to end cable with the box in the middle might be, but that's no help if 2 m is not long enough to get from your fuse box to the camera, because you need to hide the box somewhere behind the dash. Mine was not supplied with any piggyback fuse holders. Most cars are not going to have 2 spare slots on the fusebox that meet the Permenent Live and Ignition switched live requirements. Lastly the connectors seem to have a Blue (15A) Mini fuse embedded into the end connector. They seem permenantly fixed in there which can't be right because the Dashcam needs a 3 Amp fuse max, and if the fuse ever fails how are you supposed to change it? Overall pretty rubbish and I have returned.

Does exactly as advertised and allows my dashcam to be powered when the ignition is off. There is a Video link on a QR Code to give you a guide for Installation so was very easy to do. Cable length is perfect and easy to fit in under trim pieces.

2months ago had car fitted with GKU front & rear dash cam. No complaints & it required Hardwire kit so made sense to buy GKU again..working absolutely fine & well made but let’s see how it fares after winter & those salted roads etc…2B Cont’d

Je souhaitais laisser un avis après avoir utilisé le produit pendant quelque temps. Que dire, fait parfaitement le travail dès qu'on sait correctement faire les branchements. J'ai eu un souci après 11 mois d'utilisation et le SAV a été remarquable. Tout d'abord on m'a questionné sur l'installation, tester la caméra... Puis on m'a envoyé un nouveau boitier qui a résolu le problème. Je suis ravi ! Je recommande sans hésiter

L’installazione sulla mia Captur ha richiesto qualche modifica: L’auto non aveva slot liberi e il fusibile premontato nel kit aveva una plastica troppo spessa per entrare correttamente anche se il fusibile era dello stesso tipo. - Soluzione adottata: Ho tagliato i fusibili originali del kit e utilizzato due cavi ruba corrente acquistati separatamente. Una modifica semplice, ma da tenere in conto se si ha un’auto con spazi ridotti nel box fusibili. Consiglio extra: Per un controllo totale, consiglio di aggiungere un mini interruttore a bilanciere nascosto sotto i fusibili: permette di spegnere completamente la dashcam in un attimo, utile in caso di sosta prolungata, manutenzione, o lavaggio auto da parte di terze persone.

El kit está diseñado para ser conectado directamente en porta fusibles vacíos con corriente. Lo cual, fue rápido y muy fácil la instalación en mi vehículo. Previamente comprobando las corrientes con un multímetro. Esta instalado y funcionando perfectamente sin cables ocupando espacio y enredados en las tomas de corriente. Al desconectar y abandonar el vehículo se activa la vigilancia 24/h con grabación en bucle con una tarjeta SanDisk Extreme de 256Gb. (Consejo para vehículo que no tenga porta fusibles vacíos con corriente. Es recomendable comprar dos adaptadores de fusible doble cada uno, (no incluidos en el kit) para ser conectado en el lugar de otros fusibles del vehículo)
