Australian Style Boat Shoes - Deck Shoes

Only arrived yesterday, (ordered using prime so next day delivery.) So these are very much my first impressions........ I am a UK size 8 /42 so that is what I ordered, and they are a good fit. They appear to be well made (time will tell). At the moment they are very stiff and not very comfortable, I'm optimistic that they will become more supple with wear. Obviously I thought that the price was reasonable co's I bought them. They are going to be worn a lot over the next couple of months so I will update this review when I have really worn them in. But for now I am pleased with my new shoes. Updated : I have had these shoes for a while now and they still aren't really comfortable! I haven't worn them as much as I thought I would (prefer to wear my tatty old Timberlands) the problem is because they are so narrow they rub the underside of my heel bone ( Lateral malleolus) making it quite sore. It's a great shame because they look really smart. I have not given up on them completely, I wear them for short periods of time hoping that they will eventually stretch and become more comfortable.

Good shoe, comfortable weight and good sole. laces however, one snapped on the third time of wearing, leaving half a lace to tie until I can get replacements (ugly) shame. maybe unlucky or maybe too thin for aesthetics vs practicality.

Always liked boat shoes as a summer accessory, they make a change from trainers and can be worn with jeans, chinos or shorts. These Jim Boomba shoes are a bit pricey but well made in Portugal and look good with quality leather, a bit narrow but I think these will soften and expand slightly. Personally, I’ve found this sizing to be quite common with previous boat shoes I have bought, always bought one size larger and found the fit soon becomes comfortable.

The shoe quality was good, so no problem so there. But the image used to sell the item was misleading. It showed a smaller top to the front from the toe to the tip of the tongue, that is what I wanted, but when it arrived it was way too long, so would come up further along the top of my foot. So they went straight back. I’m sure some people would be happy with the style delivered but due to the imagery it just meant a waste of time on my part and the supplier. If you’re going to sell remotely then you need to use accurate images, otherwise you risk returns.

Ordered size 11s, delivered in 2 days, well packaged, nice shoes, well made. Still being worn in and fit wide feet well. Am being cautious with laces as read reviews which say that they’re prone to snapping. Good value for money, would recommend

These are really nice deck shoes. Unlined and light - made in Portugal I believe. I ordered UK size 10 and Euro size 44 arrived which were too small. So I ordered size 11 hoping I'd receive Eu 45 which would have worked I think but I received Eu46 which are too big! UK10 is my usual size so guess they come up small. If there were a way to stipulate Eu45 I'd reorder - sending these back again now which is a shame... I'm marking as 'too small' as normal sizing is about 1/2 less than usual.
