Classic action thriller directed by John McTiernan. On Christmas Eve, New York cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) is visiting his estranged wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia) in Los Angeles, where she works. They are attending a party at Holly's high-rise office block when terrorists, led by the suave Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) break in, taking everyone hostage. With time running out, McClane is forced to got to extreme lengths to try and save the day. Review: Best action film looks great on 4K - Great film with looks great on 4K UHD disk. Not the best disk ever by far, but this film never looked better. Review: Yippee-ki-yay! - A beautiful transfer of an excellent action film. Loved every minute of it! Yippee-ki-yay to Johm MacClain and Big Al. And, yes, it is a Christmas film, as it's set at Christmas.

DIE HARD BONUS EDITION BLU-RAY
I'm a big fan of the Die Hard films i already have all the films on DVD when i found out about this all new Doco called Decoding Die Hard i knew i had to get it but first i found out it was only available with the new 5 Disc blu-ray Legacy collection and i didn't want to pay tons of money on this boxset just for the Bonus Disc cause there is another Die Hard film in the works already to be released next year in cinemas it's suppose to be the final Die Hard for the franchise, Bruce willis is rumoured to be retiring from the Character after the final film which i don't blame him, he's getting old that's for sure so of course 20th century fox will re-release another Die Hard blu-ray boxset for next year's film so i did some internet searching and found out that the original Die Hard has been released as a 2 Disc special edition with the Decoding Die hard Doco so i just bought this 2 Disc edition just to watch the Die Hard Doco and i have no regrets if i should have bought the 5 Disc legacy collection or not. this all new Documentary definitely is new, all interviews are recently recorded last year i guess. All the interviews are featurette's, so you can watch them seperatly all play all the featurette's like a big Documentary which runs over 90min this Doco is fantastic, all new interviews and new retrospectives with all the Directors, Producers, writers, exect producers, only some of the actors/actress's from the series are interviewed aswell, but sadly and very unfortunate no interviews with Bruce willis for some reason one of the featurettes is about the Villans of Die Hard which has never been presented interviews with Alan rickman, William sadler, Jeremy irons also rare footage from the films some stuff that has been seen already and some footage that hasn't Definitely better Documentary than the last one that was released back in 2007-2008 for the release of the 4th Die Hard the blu-ray version of Die Hard i watched 2nd, watched most of it cause i have it on dvd anyway the picture and audio quality is excellent, the quality has definitely been enhanced by blu-ray tech but the 2007 DVD reissue i have is still excellent picture and audio anyway but each to their own, it's matter of opinion. so yes there are 2 options either buy the 5 Disc blu-ray collection that has the Bonus Documentary anyway or just get the DIE HARD SPECIAL EDITION BLU-RAY 2 DISC SET, up to you what you want to spend you money on.

One of the best
4.5 stars. The film is one of the greatest action movies out there as well as the greatest christmas movie ever made (yes it is a christmas movie. It contains christmas music, people say christmas-y things and the central story is really about a husband/dad trying to reconnect with his family. You can't get more christmas-y than that.) It is intense throughout and the performances are phenomenal particularly Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber. My one complaint is with the Blu-Ray itself as it does not have a main menu screen. I know that may be picky but I would have apriceated one as it is just easier to navigate with one there. Overall a great product.

this is replacing my first DVD that as I wore the first one out. My Christmas DVD's collection would not be the same with Bruce Willis not being there.😊🧡 Die Hard is also enjoyed throughout the year but it is a great send off at Christmas time for me. Vaughn Munroe in the final credits singing, "Let it Snow" just warms up the movie. His voice had me searching out his CD's on Amazon. Such a unique voice and I love this rendition. "White Christmas" now comes in second. 😊 Thank you Bruce Willis for a homey, action packed movie. cheers from Canada🧡☮

It’s that magical time of year again—when the snow gently falls, the stockings are hung by the chimney with care, and your friendly neighborhood New York police officer, John McClane, embarks on a delightfully festive romp through the world of Die Hard. A true yuletide classic, this film is less about the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and more about a jolly old man delivering justice, one lump of coal at a time, to a group of particularly naughty boys who clearly didn't get the memo about Santa's 'Nice List.' Picture this: McClane, clad in his festive undershirt, tiptoeing barefoot through the tinsel-laden corridors of a high-rise winter wonderland, spreading cheer and merriment with all the finesse of a reindeer on a sugar high. You can almost hear the jingle of sleigh bells as he sneaks around, delivering holiday surprises to these misguided souls who, let’s be honest, probably just needed a good gingerbread cookie and a cup of hot cocoa to turn their frowns upside down. This isn’t just your average Christmas Eve, folks—oh no. It's a heartwarming tale of one man, one building, and a whole lot of yuletide spirit. McClane doesn't just deck the halls; he dominates them. It’s practically a Christmas miracle how he turns a boring old office party into the holiday event of the century. Move over, Santa—there’s a new Kris Kringle in town, and he doesn’t need reindeer or a sleigh. He’s got an elevator. By the time the credits roll, you’ll be bursting with so much Christmas spirit, you'll feel the urge to wrap your loved ones in fairy lights and sing carols while climbing through air ducts. Die Hard is the kind of holiday film that reminds us all that the real meaning of Christmas is family, friendship, and, of course, the importance of keeping your cool under tinsel-strewn chaos. Merry McClane-mas to all, and to all a good night!
