As described. Fit my Ford Ranger 2000 XL perfectly.
These are SOOOOOO easy to install it's amazing the FORD FACIST ENGINEERING TEAM that makes EVERY OTHER PART CHANGE come with "jabbing pain" because the only angle you can undue something is, "Plastic part jabbing your skin" so the repair is as painful as-possible. So, installing these shocks was a breeze. Be sure you understand how to torque them to spec and having the proper impact gun and opposing closed socket wrench BEFORE YOU START just makes this so simply. Very pleased. I just changed the rear and already eliminated the "baby carriage" squeaks from the rear. Going to do the front end suspension soon. "I can't wait" for the idiocy FORD engineers introduced to PUNISH the DIY car repair owners. Be brave. Be tenacious. Plan EVERYTHING OUT before you start, including renting a car for those, "Oops. I need a new castle nut." moments. Use jack stands. Be sure to not kill yourself by the kinetic energy in your front springs. Watch YouTube videos on how to decompress the springs without tool. It's pretty simple process using floor jacks. Plural. If you have ZERO engineering and logic skills- pay the ridiculous $450-hour "stealership" labor rates. My opinion.

OH YEAH !
5 of 5 stars here on these shocks. I sold this brand for 16 years. These are the first shocks I have bought since the mid-90s, chose Monroe for peace of mind knowing the brand. They didn't let me down :)

So far so good... driven about 200 miles on them
... and they are a huge difference from the ones that came with the pick up. I noticed the difference almost immediately. The ride is much smoother and less bouncy.

2011 Ford Ranger XL 2.4l
These were installed on a standard cab 2011 Ford Ranger XL 2.4 liter. Simple and straight forward part replacement. This truck has 150,000 miles on the OEM shocks, and the handling has deteriorated over time. Installing these made and immediate improvement in road handling and straight-line tracking. We never carry heavy loads in this truck and I consider these a good standard replacement for commuter and light-duty usage. I'm very happy with their performance. FYI - I will also replace the front shocks with matching Monroe's as soon as they arrive. Very affordable.

Shocks
Sayes for a truck with these things ain't worth a flip my old ones was better than the new ones I ended up having to put the old shocks back on these bounce like a spring looks like I'll just be purchasing new ones straight from motorcraft from Ford place.

The advertising indicates made in China. The shocks I received were made in USA and shipped from USA. The shocks were installed on my Ford Ranger and provide a smooth ride with no wheel hopping on rough roads. There is no unusual handling at highway or passing speeds, as described by another reviewer. I can only hope these were quality built, and will not have any future issues.

did not fit my ranger as described in the product description- returned four shocks-one in each of two packages and last two wrapped as one package- got refunded the individually wrapped shocks but only refunded for one of the two wrapped as one package- thought I was doing them a favor by posting the two together but only got a single refund. So, dont do any favors when returning goods.

Bought these over a year ago..... put 4500 k on my truck and these shocks are shot! I used to be a solid Monroe fan..... but no longer! Quality Control is obviously sadly lacking!
