A controller that works?!?!
This has been an awesome controller so far. After the initial charge I tried to set it up with my TV Bluetooth and it was flawless. I also had similar results with my tablet and laptop. Ability to swap between using the dongle and Bluetooth is really handy And lets me keep some of sanity from having to swap Bluetooth frequently. I also really enjoy the additional bumper buttons on the back compared to other controllers. It feels really good in the hands And has a really long battery life. The controller is also very high quality built and is very durable. I have accidentally dropped it a few times already and my dogs knocked it off the table with their tails with no damage done. For the overall price and quality of this controller, it is definitely worth it and better than any Xbox or PlayStation controller.

Interesting L4 and R4 buttons, improved clicky dpad. Very solid controller, recommended.
I have the 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth and while it is very good, the dpad is probably its biggest flaw. I was intrigued by the Ultimate 2C and am very pleasantly surprised to find the dpad is significantly improved. It's clickier, more responsive and less mushy than the original Ultimate. I was also keen to test the unusual L4 and R4 shoulder buttons which I had never seen before. I can say that these are also a successful addition, easy to use and very easy to set with the special assign button. I thought they may be awkward to hit but they truly work like an assistant to the standard shoulder buttons. The sticks, shell and face buttons are all excellent, good feeling and no accidental activations. Hall effect sticks and triggers at this price is great. I don't use them but the included more convex shaped thumbstick caps are a thoughtful inclusion. I respect 8Bitdo for their willingness to try different configurations and layouts. There is always a tradeoff in terms of price and functionality, so you do lose the back buttons on the pricier models but I find the new L4 and R4 to be a worthy replacement. I'm very pleased to see tweaks and improvements made. 8Bitdo if you're listening, this style of dpad is a vast improvement and the L4 R4 experiment is a keeper. A future 3C with these improvements plus back buttons or even 4 actuator keys like the Xbox Elite controllers would be great.

A Controller Review With the Small Handed in Mind
TLDR; This review is primarily for those with unusually small hands and that is not hyperbole. If you do not have the hands of a child, this controller has no connectivity issues, no weird programs to download, it's plug and play, and I highly recommend. Now, for the small handed and curious, read onward... I play almost exclusively on PC, but there are some games that were clearly NOT made with PC in mind. Enter the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C! It works right out of the box! There are no weird programs to install. Just plug and play! I had one little connectivity blip but it lasted seconds. Other than eliciting a momentary eyebrow raise from me, I just went right back to playing. Oddly, enough I was seeing more input issues in reviews with the wired version than the wireless. Make of that what you will. I have SMALL childlike hands. And that's not an exaggeration. So if you also have small hands.....maaaaybe go with the mini 8Bitdo. I don't think there is a wireless version though (as far as I know) so keep that in mind. The only reason I wonder whether my hands might've fit the mini just a SMIDGE better is because my fingers can reach everything JUST so. But I'm reaching a bit if I want to use the buttons in the center of the controller (I've only ever used the top center right and left buttons so far). Not having played with a controller in many years, is that normal?? It's not a dealbreaker for me though. Especially since the center buttons for the game I'm predominantly using this controller for is for pausing, organizing my inventory, or opening menu/settings. I don't know how often those buttons are generally clicked upon for normal non pause gameplay by your typical console player playing your heavier action games for instance, since those are not the type of games I'm using this controller for. That being said I can use this controller just fine in every other regard. I'm not gonna be dying at a raid boss anytime soon because I couldn't click a center button fast enough. That's NOT the type of games I play with a controller anyway. Aside from that minor quibble in regards to my freakishly small hands and unfamiliarity with all the additional buttons on more modern controllers (grew up on N64 and GameCube), I have zero complaints with this controller. And I'm no controller expert but apparently hall effect joysticks means no drift!! I HATED that about my Switch and even replaced my own joysticks when they'd go bad and calibrations weren't helping. I've played with this controller for a couple of days now with longer play sessions and so far so good! Speaking of longer play sessions, the battery life is great! However, I ALWAYS plug in my controller to charge while I'm not using it. 8Bitdo website says it's around 20 hours for 2.4G connection and around 30 hours for Bluetooth connection. I will try to remember to update this review if anything ever changes in future, but as of right now I am VERY happy with my controller. And I LOVE the peachy pink color. Would recommend!

Quality at an affordable price.
This 8bitdo controllers are some of the best bang for your buck controllers available. I have four of them that I use with a PC for couch games wirh the family, good battery life. Good wireless 2.4g connection. I havent tried Bluetooth. They feel solid. Small enough for younger kids and big enough for most adults to use comfortably.

Almost Perfect
Pros: - This controller has a good feel and a good build, probably the best thing going for it. - The sticks are very accurate, wired or wireless. Many third party controllers I've used in the past had problems consistently registering diagonal inputs, but this for the most part solves that. - Everything else works as expected the additional shoulder buttons are a good addition, but I haven't had the need to use them. Cons: - Unfortunately, and what keeps this controller from being perfect, is that the controller randomly gets disconnected when connected wirelessly to its receiver. I would need to unplug and reconnect the receiver for it to resume working. This has caused me to lose several online matches. I verified that it's not a problem with my USB ports, not due to overheating, and does not occur with the other backup controllers I own.

Just buy it
I’ve bought so many! Me, my brother, the wife, my niece, nephew and both cousins have all gotten them. There is not a better option on the market to my knowledge especially at this price point. I love this thing. It’s super weighty too which I love. Battery is great. All my games immediately recognize it. If you are thinking about it just buy it.

Solid upgrade.
System(s) used: PC Hand size: Large (21 cm x 9.75 cm across palm, not including thumb). Cons: 1) Joystick material is very slippery except on the textured sides. If using a light touch the included joystick covers are basically mandatory. Pros: 1) Joystick covers work great and feel great. Stick to your finger even with very light pressure. 2) Face buttons are flatter than the XBox nubs. They feel a bit too stiff at first but they break in nicely. 3) Mapping/Turbo buttons are flush with the controller body so it's hard to accidentally press them. 4) Both the hall effect joysticks and triggers feel tight. There isn't a lot of jiggle in the neutral position. The joysticks also have noticeably more resistance than an XBox controller. 5) The polling rate difference (XBox at 125 Hz; this at 500-1000 Hz) is very noticeable. Frustratingly so. This obviously depends on the genres played but with fighting games it's night and day. 6) No setup. Just plugged in the dongle, pressed power on the controller, and good to go. Other: - Boxier than an XBox controller (closer to a PS controller) and the palm grips are smaller. This sits somewhere between a PS4 and XBox controller in both shape and size. - Clicky D-Pad. I think it feels good (much better than the standard XBox) but I also don't use D-Pad much. - L4/R4 are actually great if you use claw grip or have big hands. Didn't think I'd use them but they're surprisingly comfortable.

Extremely pleased
Meant to do this after my first night, but here goes. I actually kind of love this controller. It feels solid, no weird creaks and cracks. The wireless bluetooth dongle is even better than Microsoft. Havent lost connection with my controller one time. It is super affordable and for the quality, I actually think it is an insane ratio of give/get. The extra keys are dope af, but they take some getting used to. L4/R4 is an inspired choice! Will be buying more in the future because these are just that damned good. Thanks!

Lovely design, killer price, works great on linux
Steam just announced that these controllers are now natively supported in Steam OS but they worked perfectly fine before so the "doesn't work on linux" reviews are from folks that don't know how to troubleshoot. Any game on Steam I've found that didn't recognize it I found that by turning on Steam Input in game settings it's treated like an xbox controller and mapped as such. The controller looks great with the mint/beige colour scheme and includes a mint usb c cord as well as a mint "brick-wall" wifi dingle. There are also rubber covers for the joysticks included. The led power light is also a mint colour. Feels good to hold, lighter than an xbox controller, d-pad is quite tight but I like that, everything else feels typical. Very nice.

Amazing!!
I bought this because I recently ran into an issue with my laptop and couldn’t play any games for the past 2 months. I finally decided to try playing them through a streaming service through my smart TV and decided to buy this controller. It works like a charm! I’ve had no input lag issues from the Bluetooth mode thus far, and the colours on this controller are beautiful! The buttons are also so smooth and nice to press down on. Not crazy loud, but just a nice satisfying click on some of the buttons. The LT and RT are actually pretty noise free! I’d definitely recommend this controller!!

Great controller
Feels amazing to hold, and the colour is very nice. I don't personally like the bumpers being clicky like a mouse, but the price makes up for that because it sure beats official controllers. I tested the joystick grips and they also feel very good, a nice little addition. I'll use them on a different device though, since the colours are so off theme.

Easy to use. Good deal works great
Excellent controller for the money. Absolutely no complaints. Never had any problems. Worked immediately. Perfect with steam. Used to try using a PS5 controller even wired it was not the greatest. This is just phenomenally. Better to the point where I hate PS5 controllers now

Very good quality! sturdy, reliable, functional!
I was thoroughly impressed by this controller, especially for the instant responsiveness when you use the 2.4 dongle with it, there is zero lag or latency between controller and inputs when you do it that way. I didn't try the bluetooth since I bought it to use with my steam deck while docked and connected to a monitor. The control is comfortable, easy to charge with a USB-C port, and has the nice little bonus of a Turbo function. The bonus of having 3 trigger buttons on each side gives you the option of more key binds if you want. The price was low for such a good device, I was quite impressed. Plug the USB dongle into your PC, and its instant detect, no setup, pure plug and play.
