How do you install it to the window?

Hi, this is just the Black replacement connector plug that plugs into the tab already on the glass not the tab. If you are in need to connect a defroster tab back to the glass use this item# B01EAMB1W4 copy and paste into amazon search bar. If you need the tab itself get back with us

I have the wire secured in the metal piece but I cannot secure the metal piece into the plastic housing. Help?

Make sure you push the metal piece all the way into the plastic, it needs to go all the way in. If that doesn't work, visit any autoparts store, they will help you free of charge.

Easy to install

My old connector broke off, so needed a new one. The kit came with two different sized connectors and a cover. I matched the correct size, stripped off a little of my wire, put on the new connector and cover, and it went right on. Only about 5 minutes.

Works great and was relatively easy to install. The glue works VERY well but allow it to set. Had to do it twice because I was too eager to connect it. The directions are good but follow them.
