Easy to set up, use, and clean
Got this to replace a faulty LR3. This has a much smaller footprint, taking up about as much space as a traditional hooded litter box. Nice, wide opening so it’s easy to top up with a scoop of litter as needed as well as easily accommodating our largest, floofy cat. The step to get in is also lower, so our smallest, disabled cat gets in and out with ease without purchasing steps etc. We have 6 cats so change the waste bag each morning, which isn’t a chore anymore thanks to the top bin - no more bending over far or having to kneel! After reading through user chat on FB for it, we decided to use the biodegradable handle tie food waste caddy bags and they do work a treat! Simply make sure the bag covers both sides with the handles underneath and you won’t have to worry about the gag slipping at at all, and at under £2 a roll from the supermarket, cheap and easy to get. Clumping litter is advised for it and in the LR3, we tried several until settling on Cat’s Best. Unfortunately, we ran out and when I ordered this, Amazon had a week lead time on getting some to me, so as we were doing a Morrison’s order, I ordered their fine clumping litter ( just over a fiver for 10l). It’s worked so well and we’ve not had any issues with doors that we’ve stayed with it. We’re averaging one bag for 3 1/2 weeks, even with such frequent use. Cleansing the machine is super easy. You take the cover off the side ( unplug it first) , unclip the pivot arm, lift off the glove ( it’s not heavy at all!) , tilt it so the clean litter goes into the used litter compartment ( so remove used waste bag first), then pkace on floor, remove used litter compartment and set aside. Then pick up globe and take it outside for a good rinse with the hose and a few drops of Fairy or enzymatic cleaner. Rinse out the dirty water, dry with an old towel, and pop it back in the vase, reclip the arm, put the clean litter in to level indicated by the arrow inside along the back, out the waste receptacle back and clise the lid. Then put the pivot arm back on and plug back in. Tada!

Better than manual scooping !!
I procrastinated about this for weeks, because let’s face it, it’s expensive for a litter tray. But with two cats I was scooping between 5-10times a day from two regular trays to keep them clean and smells at bay. Anyhow, got this set up easily (15mins) and both cats used straight away without any problems. It scoops straight after use and is effective with both clay and wood litter so it’s always fresh. Obviously you still have to empty the bin (2 cats = every 2 days), make sure the bin bag is placed such that the bin lid can shut properly and give it a good clean periodically this will all help to stop smells building up. But it is way less effort than usual scooping, so overall I am very happy. After a month of use I would say it’s worth the money !! After reading other reviews it makes me think there are issues around how people use it. It separates solid hard lumps from the litter, so you need a cat/litter combination that creates hard lumps. Good quality clumping litter is your friend. If your cat does loose poo, or doesn’t cover its poo (less of a problem since most times the machine will cover it as it rotates), or poos directly on the sieve or side of the tray, this will spread that poo around the drum and it may well get stuck on the sieve. For some of these issues I would consider food change/vet visit rather than a new litter tray! But if your cat poops solid directly in good quality clumping cat litter - you are good to go 👍 Lots of scare stories on the internet about auto boxes and injury to cats, I don’t see how that’s possible with this one. It’s open fully all the time, so if it malfunctioned badly, the cat would easily get out and there is no scenario in which it could become trapped. Even if the cat passed out inside and then it malfunctioned the cat would be covered in litter (and worse) but shouldn’t be harmed.

Good at first but faulty - No response from customer service
I bought this product in November for my two cats and it worked great at first. The app for tracking usage was useful and it was easy to clean. Occasionally the drum would get stuck every now and then and it would need switching off and on again to reset, I would get a device locked at roller or drum stuck notification. Over the past two or three months the product has started doing this more often and this has been really inconvenient. In the past two weeks this has stopped working altogether - every cleaning cycle the drum gets stuck or gets locked at the roller. This has led to our entire kitchen stinking of cat poo because when it looks the door to the waste is open. When we are work the cats have accidents and this has been difficult to manage as they used to this litter tray now. I'm now having to use an Alternative litter tray for the two of them and I'm really disappointed that it isn't working properly as this was bought to alleviate the issue of smell. I've tried contacting customer service or arranging a swap or return but I've not heard anything back nor been able to find someone to call.

I have this a month now only and it works great but leaks underneath, contacted customer service only to be told I need to send it back for a refund and they can’t offer a replacement. Contacted the company themselves and was told to contact Amazon so now I’m left with a machine that leaks or send it back and be without a litter tray for weeks to return, refund and reorder 🤬 tried to upload video but couldn’t

Quel bonheur !
