I’m absolutely in love with this keyboard! The typing experience is so smooth, and it makes a very satisfying 'clack' sound that's not too loud but gives great feedback. The build quality feels very sturdy and premium, and the color scheme is unique and looks fantastic on my desk. I appreciate having both the volume and brightness knobs; it’s a small detail but super convenient. I’ve tried a few mechanical keyboards, and this one is by far my favorite. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their setup for work or gaming.

Ever since I got into PC gaming, I had always used wired keyboards because I wanted the absolute best performance. Lately, I've been wanting to get a better keyboard and invest a bit and this keyboard was a very good investment. No latency issues, multiple connection modes, very long battery life (charge once a week for multiple hours of use daily) everything works and looks very good, espwcially the key lighting with the different lighting modes. I'll definitely be ordering this brand again for future upgrades. Also, the keys sound amazing. I wanted a break from the super clicky green switches from razer and this keyboard definitely fit that.

First and foremost the color scheme of white, red and black match my PC's color scheme to the "T". So needless to say I love the color. I usually do a lot of research on items before buying and this one was a tough one, not a lot of reviews outside of Amazon. However, I am so happy that I made the purchase. For the last 2 years I've used Logitech 's MX Keys (100% board). I made the purchase back then based off the reviews, and it made sense since I already owned the MX Master 3 (mouse). No matter how much you research into Logitech MX keys, nothing prepared me for the crap quality of that board. I don't use a desk, my PC is in the bedroom thus (when in use) the keyboard sits on my bed. My bed is really low to the ground, I say about 3 feet up. After dropping it onto my rug a couple times, the entire thing came apart. So much for the metal finish, which is actually some sort of plastic that is made to look like metallic. Keyboard costed $120 before tax. Now back to the Royal Kludge M87. The build quality can be felt the moment you take it out of the box. This thing is heavy! Yes it's a 70-75% board but it has some weight to it. I love it. I'm an 80's baby that grew up with 90's tech. So when I started to type on this thing the sound brought back so many memories. Not only does it sound great, but pressing onto they keys is highly satisfying. I plugged in the 2.4ghz dongle, scrolled through the menu options via the second wheel and clicked. BOOM! instantly connected. Works amazing! Started to play with the lighting options and man, this thing exceeded my expectations. If you like unicorn vomit, this keyboard offers it. However, I personally like 1 unified color and they have plenty of options to choose from. I am in no way shape or form a keyboard enthusiast. Meaning if you want something great that is just going to work out of the box, look no further! Royal Kludge offers mechanical keyboards at a decent price (that isn't priced gouged out the wazoo) reliable and built to last. I never heard of Royal Kludge until recently when I started to research mechanical keyboards to replace my poorly constructed Logitech key board. I am so happy I've made this purchase. Best part of it all, I got it for $69.99 before tax. Logitech can kick rocks, my money will be going to RK if I ever find myself back in the market. I will highly recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for a mechanical keyboard!

I bought 2 of these keyboards. Not because I love it that much but because the first ones battery stopped charging shortly after owning it and I had to keep it plugged in. That shouldn't deter you from this keyboard though, as it didn't deter me from continuing to own it. The keys are perfectly spaced, the switches are smooth and have the right amount of resistance, look great and the functionality of it is great as well. It has a dedicated calculator key on it that I ended up using very often and I loved it. I decided to buy the same one because I wanted to be wireless again and after buying the same one I had learned the first unit was just a dud, this one worked fine. I sadly had to refund this keyboard because due to new employment, I stay up all night on my days off gaming and my SO can't sleep due to the sound, so I returned it before I become single again. Great keyboard for any use case, perfectly priced, and im sure my problem with the first unit being a dud is a one-off situation because I don't hear of anyone having that issue. Buy this keyboard, you won't regret it.

UPDATE (7-2-2025, only 7 months old!): Keyboard started failing. Right control knob no longer works and isn't replaceable like the switches. Two switches have stopped working but I was able to replace them. Software updater is not working properly either. Quality is poor as three components have already stopped working in less than a year. What a waste of good money. I worked hard to earn it. This company did not work as hard to produce the product. As a result, a waste of my time and efforts. Stay away and look for something else. I recommend a keyboard perhaps made in the USA next time. [My original "premature" review]: The layout is perfect. The keys physical and sound response is amazing! It brings me right back to the 80's and 90's with the PCs of my younger years of programming! Amazing how many of us left this style keyboard in trade from slim silent keyboards. Now I literally enjoy every letter I type again. Thank you so much for a perfect design and build. It's a work of art and engineering. Hand's down, one of the best self-gifts to date. lol.

This is a great keyboard. The UI isn't the best, but it's manageable. The keys are not super clicky but just enough tactile feel. The LCD screen will accept any GIF you send to it and thats really cool. Fully removable and changeable switches. You get a lot of features for the price. I switched the key caps with NGE themed caps and put part of the intro as the LCD display.

I will highly recommended this keyboard for an aesthetic touch to your study / office / gaming - pc / laptop setup. This mechanical gaming keyboard has 17 RGB light effects, you can connect upto 3 bluetooth devices at once, you can also connect through 2.4G usb dongle and last but not the least, the key-clicks and key-strokes are amazing. This mechanical keyboard works well on both Windows and Mac OS. It is rechargeable and battery is in-built. So, no need of any AA or AAA battery for this mechanical keyboard. As per price segment, it's on a bit higher side, as it is imported from countries outside India.

Wasn’t sure what to expect out of this. I have had some great and not so great keyboards over my time, but this is a winner! The good! Really nice sound and feel! This is so satisfying to type and game on. It just feels so nice. Looks. I love how this looks! Everyone who sees it comments on how good it is! The ok stuff Despite its great quality it is not quite as polished as some main brands. You are able to control most things through the keyboard interface itself, but you will probably need the software if you want to dive in. Getting the software felt a bit dodgy. There is specific software for each model so you had to really search for the right one. The software itself is fine. It functions. It has the parts you need. It just feels a bit clunky. Battery life Again. It’s fine. I am recharging at least once per week. Half the time I just leave it in usb mode rather than wireless to avoid the hassle. Overall, nothing bad and lots of good/ great! Would definitely buy again.
