THE MOST COMPLETE SOCKET SET POSSIBLE - A complete set, of each,in 1/4, 3/8 1/2 inch - AWESOME…
Seems to be Good Quality, like it MORE every time I open it up - Is a VERY BIG CASE, and HEAVY - BUT, Lots of Real Tools - Not, a lot of screw driver bits, to make the Tool Count higher, like lots of sets - In fact, no screwdriver bits at all - It’s ALL TOOLS - Socket Sets, Wrenches, Torx Sockets, and Allen Wrenches - Includes Deep Sockets in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch drives - Lots of extensions, swivels, adapters in each drive size - Every Single spot a tool goes in the case, is Labeled - Tools stay securely In Place, snap in/snap out - A Truly unbelievably NICE set of tools, for an Awesome Prime Day Price - A little Heavy to be carrying everywhere you go, but Perfect for shop work, and taking the whole case in times you’re not sure what all you’ll need… When it comes to socket and wrench sets, THIS ONE HAS IT ALL…!!! (considered sending back, and getting a smaller set - But, couldn’t do it - Too Nice, Too Complete, to not KEEP…)

Very Impressive Set
If you're looking for a durable set of sockets and wrenches without a bunch of unneeded/unwanted bits and accessories well, you found it. This is a rock-solid set of ratchets, sockets, and wrenches minus the fluff. This was my first criterion when shopping for a set. Every tool in the set must serve an immediate or future use. I've bought 200-300 piece tool sets in the past, only to watch a third of them literally rust in the case. More often than not, these are cheap bits that wouldn't survive the first good project anyway. So don't be put off if this 204 piece set seems to be far less of a bargain compared to another set comprised of more "tools" at a similar price point. I wanted more tool for the money and this set fit the bill. My very first impression of the set came before I even opened the box it was shipped in. This sucker is HEAVY, and once you crack the case open you begin to understand why. Every tool in the set has been crafted for heavy-duty use, and while that is great, you also get the weight that comes along with it. You've been told. The second impression of this set came when I picked up the 1/2" ratchet. It is one of the more substantial ratchets I've ever held in my hand. Not only that, the 3/8" and 1/4" drives are as well. For me, this was the best surprise by far. I have big hands, and the lack of girth of a typical ratchet has always been uncomfortable to me, making jobs more difficult and tiring than they ought to be. These bad boys solved that problem. They are heavy and accommodate larger hands nicely. My first use was using the 3/8" ratchet to drive lag screws to hang a TV mount. There was no difficulty doing it and the ratcheting action was extremely smooth, as it has been on every job since. Thirdly, the selection of tools in this set is outstanding. I was especially impressed with the number of extensions you get with each ratchet, which anyone who has ever bought a set like this knows you NEVER get enough of in quantity or lengths. There is also a great mix of standard/metric sockets and wrenches, which should suit almost everyone's needs. If I had to knock anything about it, it would be that sometimes the molded case doesn't hold the tools securely. I've only found this to be an issue when closing the case, not after transporting and opening. It seems if you take care when seating the tool back in place it holds, so it isn't so much of a problem as it is an annoyance. That said, I'd be really, really surprised if you were disappointed after buying the set. It has been my best socket set purchase by far.

A high quality comprehensive socket set. Needs a more complete wrench set
A real heavyweight 38 lbs. A vast selection of 1/4", 3/16" and 1/2" sockets with swivels, useful extensions and adapters with very few of the driver bits and Allen wrenches that makes up a large part of the part count on some sets. Set does contain a dozen or so high quality driver bits and two Allen wrench kits. Only complaint at this point is the 12-piece wrench set which is quite incomplete as only 11/32, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8" and 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16mm are included. No 12 mm for some reason. The wrenches do seem very well made though. The space could have been better utilized as you will need to carry a better wrench set with this kit. Maybe a three-piece pliers, crescent wrench and needlepoint pliers set would have fit better with this kit. Even better could have made the case a little smaller as it takes a lot of space to open up and lay flat. Tools seem to be a quite good quality, easy to read and quite hefty. Sexy even. Sockets fit well in their plastic inserts some or even a little difficult to remove but expect with use they will get looser and some sockets will fall out as you open it. I fit a piece of cardboard insert inside of these clamshell cases and try to open carefully. Due to insane Arctic conditions have not even carried outside yet. Will give it a workout soon. Possibly update review after applying major torque to some ratchets and sockets. Not worried about the finish, no way it can stay this pretty for long.

and on the seventh day...
and on the seventh day, there was no resting...instead, god built this Dewalt socket set...this set is the standard by which all others should forever be judged...this is without question the best all around all inclusive set that the DIY home repair/remodel and/or DIY auto repair person MUST have in their arsenal of home tools...you will never need to buy another socket, ratchet, or accessory, with the exception of maybe a very large socket for something unique like an axel nut which is specific to the car you are working on and never included in any set other than an axel nut socket set...if you price out what it will cost you over time to buy one at a time all of the extension pieces, wobbling adapters for angled ratcheting, star and torx wrenches, just those things alone will end up costing you more than this entire set costs...not to mention that this is Dewalt quality we are seeing here...go price out all of those pieces in dewalt quality prices versus cheap chinese quality prices and see for yourself just how much the value of this set is being understated...if you plan on having the tools to fix your own things for the rest of your life, then this set should be at the very top of your list of necessary tools to have...the only down side to this set is that none of your friends will have a set like it and they will all want to borrow it once they know you own it...I'd sooner loan them my children over this set...when I die, this set goes into the casket first...then me...and I don't need anything no matter where I am going because I can build what I need with this set when I get there...if you want quality tools and a complete set, there os no other set that comes even close to this...sure, you can buy this exact set without thr combo wrenches for $5 less...but those extra combo wrenches would cost you at least $50 if you bought them separately from this set...buy this set and give those combo wrenches to your son/daughter for their starter tool box...anyone who is buying this socket set already has a whole set of combo wrenches, but sees the value in getting 12 dewalt quality combo wrenches for about $5...they might as well be free for that price...I could go on and on about this set...researched sets for 4 months and compared every single socket size in each set to figure out which set truly had the most complete set for a guy who fixes everything he possibly can by himself and no other set comes close to this one...don't be fooled by the 400+ piece sets by other brands...ther have 200 useless driver tips in the piece count...those are worth pennies at best and should not count as a piece in any socket set...those are screw driver tips and nothing more...any hardware store has those available in the bulk bin for a nickel a piece...the value is in the sockets that are precision machined and polished tools made of quality steel...the last thing I will say here is this...nothing looks the part more than walking into the work area with this set and letting it make a thundering boom when you gently set it down...it weighs about 40 pounds and it is a large attention grabbing case...then open it up and experience the god like glow that beams forth as if it were the mysterious brief case being opened in the movie Pulp Fiction...that really happens when you open this thing up...jesus music with harps and everything plays from an unidentifiable source...a feeling of euphoria and inexplicable happiness take control of you and everyone close enough to see this wondrous marvel of technology, engineering, and chromed brilliance that you have brought with you...it is difficult to not break out into cartwheels and uncontrollable jumps for joy like you have just one a gold medal in every sport in the olympics all at once...you can't be the best or do the best with substandard equipment...this set is the best

Great socket set, worth buying
Great socket and accessory set. Included all of the sockets i need and doesn't waste money by including stupid screwdriver bits as included parts. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Great sockets, but get some big wrenches to complete the set
This is a very good "starter" set for a guy looking for mechanic's tool set. The sockets are good quality, and the socket wrenches are very comfortable. The set is enormously heavy, and it sure isn't the blown plastic case making it that way. There's a lot of steel here, and it seems to be the springy, hard, elastic steel you'd want in a socket set. I've done some demanding jobs with this, with no issue. There are a few design flaws in this tool set. First, the Torx drive and Allen sockets (which are really cool, and nice to have), are 3/8" instead of 1/4" socket, which I think is kind of silly. That makes the socket end of a rather small and delicate tool overly bulky, which makes them a lot less useful. Second, the Allen wrench sets fall out of the case much too easily, so you're always fooling around with them when you open or close the case. Third, the wrenches only go up to 5/8ths, which is very nearly useless. Not totally useless, but you really can't work on a truck without a 3/4 and 15/16ths wrench. Admittedly, this set would get even heavier and more obnoxious with ten additional metric and SAE wrenches, but maybe they could have gone without a few of the smaller sizes, and throw in the bigger, more common wrenches. I figure if the sockets go up to 1" (which is great), the wrenches can go to 15/16ths. There's an imbalance there, and ultimately you have to bring a strap of wrenches along with this set to get any work done. Finally, the markings aren't as deeply etched and easily read as I'd like. They are pretty good for laser etching, but the cheesy stamped ones are easier to read, so that seems bittersweet to me. All in all, I'm very happy with it, and my complaints are pretty trivial. If you want some nice combination wrenches to go with this set, the Tektons are the best wrenches I've owned.

Very nice tool set.
This should cover almost every size fastener you might need to tackle for at-home car maintenance. It includes 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch drive ratchets and sockets, an assortment of open end wrenches and sets of hex keys. My only minor gripe has nothing to do with the tools themselves, but the blow molded cases that invariably come with tool kits always seem to lose their ability to hold sockets in place in the lid over time. It's not just DeWalt though. This will happen with any tool case from any manufacturer unless it's made of a different material. Also it seems like almost none of these cases ever include some extra room inside for additional tools you might want to add to your kit. There are standard and deep sockets, and also extensions and universal joints so you can wrench on an angle if need be. It isn't a "complete" set of tools you might need, because it lacks things like screwdrivers, pliers, and others, but I'd say it's a fairly complete socket set (if not "comprehensive"). You may need to get some specialty tools that aren't in the kit for specific jobs, like impact sockets or some really enormous sockets if you need to install a hitch ball or something. You might want a 1/2" breaker bar to add to the collection. The aesthetics are nice as well. I like the design of the ratchets and sockets. Sizes are stamped deeply and easy to read. The chrome plating is nice and shiny. The insides of the sockets are not as polished as the outsides, but I think that's pretty much the norm across most brands in this price range. But overall if you want a "one shot" purchase to cover almost all of the socket wrench needs (and the most common open end wrench sizes) this kit should fit the bill nicely. So far I have gotten away with using a massive adjustable wrench for anything too big for the sockets in this kit. It isn't nearly as ideal as a correct size socket but it will get the job done most of the time. All in all I like the set and I am happy with the purchase. I might transfer the sockets to a tool chest I have and organize them into drawers which will be easier than dealing with the plastic case, but for now it's a convenient way to store and transport them.
