Oxo Good Grips Silicone Pastry Brush

Have used it for milk too, and it has worked (brushing the top of bread dough, for example). Have not used natural bristles with food, so wouldn't know if I am missing something. But as long as this is effective, am not complaining. Just make sure you dip it in soap water after using with oils.

The reason I bought a silicone pastry brush was because, I thought I could use it to brush on melted butter on my bread dough. But I felt it to be too rough for that. It holds a good amount of butter in it, but it does not brush on gently or evenly. It left tears and streaks on delicate bread dough and pastry. For gentle and even application I recommend use of a natural soft bristle brush. That being said, the plus point of this brush is that I can use it for basting meat or glazing hot pans with oil or butter due to the heat resistant nature of the silicone(upto 300 degrees C). And cleaning it is very easy compared to a bristle brush. After reading the product description which said that, one could use it on delicate pastries is misleading to say the least. That is why I gave it 3 stars. Apart from that, this product does what it says.

Ich habe speziell einen Backpinsel gesucht, der nicht ständig beim Bestreichen von Lebensmittel oder der Pfanne, „Haare“ bzw. Borsten verliert, so wie das oft bei den einfachen Backpinsel mit Naturborsten ist. Dieser Pinsel ist hitzebeständig, man kann direkt damit Butter in einer heissen Pfanne verstreichen, ohne das er Borsten verliert. Er liegt gut in der Hand und kann super in der Spülmaschine gereinigt werden ohne das er seine Form verliert. Er wurde auch sehr schnell geliefert. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und würde ihn jeder Zeit wieder kaufen.

Het aantal "haartjes' is te beperkt om goed te zijn. Daardoor verloopt het uitstrijken van olie niet zo goed.

Muy completo para todo lo mismo para repostería que para barbacoa. Fácil de limpiar y también de usar para todas las recetas que sea necesario un baño de aceite etc...
