November 9: A Novel

Why didn't I pick up this book before???!!!! Trying to calm down knowing what happened 😩 2022 favourite?! Here’s one amazing read from Colleen Hoover which I feel is so underrated compared to her other books! A perfect five star read for me for giving me much more than I anticipated from this book. Yes, I want to read every work by the author and this one was another book I just wanted to read without much expectations. However, how wrong was I in thinking nothing could surpass It Ends With Us! A story about guilt, regrets, secrets , undying devotion and a romance you would not believe it would affect your unromantic heart this much! The writing is really good. For a contemporary romance it’s pretty fast paced and I was trying my best to slow down the reading but I just couldn’t. The story is about taking chances, welcoming second chances, accepting changes, seeing the beauty in imperfections and trying for the best in unexpected moments that life throws on us. The romance is swoon worthy while it will break your heart making you feel how realistic it is. Secrets will be revealed. Hearts will be broken. Tears all cried out. But then the ending will hug you with all its generosity that you will feel so good to have read the book! Definitely recommended 💯

Colleen Hoover's "November 9" is a moving masterpiece. The characters are captivating, the writing is evocative, and the emotional rollercoaster had me in tears from start to finish. What's more, the book's quality is impressive for its price. If you're in the mood for a deeply touching read with excellent value, this book is a must.

The book starts with Fallon, the female lead, who is in a restaurant with her father and still blames him for the fire in the house that changed her whole life in the most horrible way. All of a sudden in their conversation enters Ben, our hero, and by the end of the day they become a real couple only to be met on a particular day in the year and not more than that. The plot premise is interesting and that's what will drag you in to the book. Fallon's and Ben's POV's are well written and seem original to the core. The character development over the years isn't seen much though and I would loved it if they did.... The five years and the situations that test both of them are good, emotions are expressed in words beautifully. Somewhere around 3/4th of the book there are parts that are kind of boring but the last parts where Ben's manuscript starts from.... Hands down the book was out of the world. I loved it from there. Overall, November 9 is a book focusing on first love and it's hurdles, first heartbreak, family and relations, truths and lies and deeper intentions of the main character with a decent amount of revelations that will keep you engaged. Do give this book a try!!

It took me a while to get into the book - mostly cause I was on the verge of a reading slump *shivers* - but I finally put my foot down and kept at the book until I completed it - You gotta admire my tenacity :P And somewhere at the 4th November 9 - I started reading because I was getting engrossed in the book and not because I wanted to beat my oncoming slump. Somewhere I decided that the angst that both Ben and Fallon were feeling, became a physical ache inside me and I needed to know that everything would be okay with them. Somewhere I just stopped reading those words and just kept feeling everything that was just Ben and Fallons'. And somewhere, reading November 9, I realized exactly why CoHo has a huge fan following - I realized how one author and her words can take over your entire life without you even noticing - Yes that's how overlords work and we have a genius one at hand! You have to admit, I love reading. I devour more books in a week than I do eating and that's how much I love my reading life - so it is a safe assumption that even romances tend to feel the same across all the genres - so with a blurb like this, I really was expecting something different and I got it. Even if I got it after more than 60% being into the book! I also adored the fact the fact that we have alternating POV's in this book because it definitely made it all the more easier to fall in love with both Ben and Fallon. Honestly, they were the most realistic characters I had read about in a very very long time! Ben is this charismatic young boy who, after meeting for the first time, you just know will be a heart breaker once he is done all growing up. It is hard not to want a real life Ben after reading CoHo's Ben! Fallon is a protagonist I should read in every romance, but I rarely ever get to. She, even at the age of 18, has her head screwed down straight, no matter she has suffered through! And doesn't let herself be swept away by a hot charming man, no matter how much she wanted to be - as evidenced by her offer of meeting every year on November 9th. This book is not just about romance, it is also about understanding how lie can throw you curves in the worst possible way and yet it is a reflection of the person you are and the person you want to be, the person you hope to be on how you handle those twists, with your head held high or your head buried under the sand.

couldn’t put this book down! November 9 pulled me in from the very first chapter. Colleen Hoover has such a way of making you feel every emotion — I laughed, I cried, and I kept thinking about the characters long after I finished. Fallon and Ben’s story is unique and full of twists that I didn’t see coming, and the way their lives connect over time is so beautifully written. It’s romantic but also deals with deeper themes like healing, self-worth, and forgiveness. If you enjoy emotional love stories that make you feel everything, this one’s a must-read. I finished it in two days and immediately wanted to read it again!

My heart is so full right now that I don’t think I have the mental capacities to formulate actual sentences. I cried like a baby on that last chapter…Saying this book is amazing is an understatement, and one cannot downplay CoHo, so I’m settling on extraordinary. I fell in love with Ben and Fallon at the very first chapter, and than I just fell harder. They are stunning, soo well written and their love story deserves the world 🥹 I’m not gonna say anything more, I think you should dive into this book without knowing anything, because no reviews would do it justice.

C’est un de mes livres préféré. Je l’avais lu en français et je lai recommandé en anglais pour m’améliorer dans la langue. L’histoire est originale et incroyable. La lecture est rapide et fluide. On a toujours envie de savoir la suite. Je ne me suis pas ennuyer une seule fois !!
