Solid Book but poor packaging
When the book arrived, it was not properly packaged and for that a part of cover is damaged severely that makes it looks bad in general and in the shelf. Other than the content are safe, as for the story it was one of the best from Frank Miller. It is the definitive origin for Batman and this is where the Batman really starts. A classics and the art is amazing for 80s. A 8.5/10 I guess

The Origin of the Dark Knight
Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli created the definitive "Year One" experience here. Itโs not just about Bruce Wayne finding his footing; itโs an atmospheric, gritty noir that gives equal weight to Jim Gordonโs struggle against a corrupt GCPD.If you only ever buy one Batman graphic novel, make it this one. Itโs essential, cinematic, and holds up perfectly decades later.

Amazing art!! Short storyline and a good story!!
This is the very first graphic novel / comic Iโve read which is not Indian (read a couple back in childhood) and I must say it lives up to all the hype created around it. The art work is simply amazing and you can not help but admire it for a couple of minutes before you even start reading. I have been a Batman fan all my life, which is why I loved this book. The only downside I can think of it is how short this is, I wanted it to go on for a couple of pages more if not more, also you do not get to see Alfred which is a little weird, but rest assured it lives up to all the expectations.. a must have for the Batman fans.. !!!!

Must read!
It's a classic. Story and art is awesome. The comic that redefined batman. If you are starting to read comics and specially Batman comics, then this is the first one you should pick. One star I deducted as outer cover of the comic was not properly cut that was delivered.

Batman: Year One - The Quintessential Dark Knight Origin ๐ฆ๐ฅ
Frank Miller's "Batman: Year One" is a seminal work that has rightfully earned its place as one of the most celebrated and influential Batman stories ever told. This deluxe edition not only presents the iconic graphic novel in all its glory but also offers a treasure trove of bonus material that will delight fans and provide a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at its creation. From the very first page, Miller's gritty, noir-inspired storytelling immerses you in the seedy underbelly of Gotham City, a world plagued by corruption, crime, and despair. It's a bold departure from the campy interpretations of the past, grounding the Dark Knight in a grim reality that perfectly captures the essence of his character. Miller's writing is matched by the exceptional artwork of David Mazzucchelli, whose stark and expressive pencils breathe life into this dark and brooding world. The character designs, panel layouts, and use of shadows and light create a cinematic experience that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant. But what truly sets "Batman: Year One" apart is its exploration of the parallel journeys of Bruce Wayne and James Gordon, two men driven by a shared sense of justice and a desire to save Gotham from itself. Miller's deft handling of their character arcs, as they navigate the treacherous waters of their respective paths, is masterful. Their eventual convergence is a moment of pure storytelling brilliance, forever intertwining their destinies. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, this deluxe edition is a must-have. It is a seminal work that redefined the Dark Knight for a new generation and set the stage for the renaissance of mature, sophisticated storytelling in the world of comics.
