Orient Bambino Version 7 Small Seconds 38.4mm Automatic/Hand-Winding Dress Watch

Very beautiful watch. Looks more expensive than it is because of the amazing quality. Best dress watch you could buy for less than $300. And perfect for small wrist too.

This is my first Orient watches, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have a very modest watch collection with my best being some Omegas. I certainly wasn't expecting Omega quality from Orient. First impression: This is a BEAUTIFUL watch. It feels good and solid, with a great finish on all parts, and an excellent dial and crystal. It could easily be confused with much more expensive watches. The watch has some actual wight to it, which is very nice. The movement, which can be seen through the back, is not as well finished as higher end watches, but looks well built and sounds good, but not great. It sounds like a workhorse watch, which is perfect at this price. The faux leather band looks good, but feels a bit stiff and rugged, and looks a tiny bit as though it was made under a budget. That being said, I am sure it will wear well. The only true "fault" I found was when I wound it manually. The winding mechanism feels stiff and not as smooth as many of my other watches, including some at this price. Since you will rarely wind it (automatic), most people won't notice or care. One point I particularly liked was the box it came in. It made no pretenses about being a high end, luxury box. It was reminiscent of a mid-century box a watch like this would have come in back in the day. I like that they saved the money, but still did a decent presentation. All things being said, based on this unboxing, I would highly recommend this watch. Other reviews indicate these watches do well over time, so I expect no surprises. I love this watch! (My other watches don't get worn anymore.) The 38.4mm diameter case is just the right size for me. The leather band that came with it is very nice. (I've spent much more on a watch and not liked the band that came with it.) The date is easy to read. Made in Thailand. 24 jewel movement. Beautiful watch. I love the color of the face. It reminds me of watches that I have seen old men wear. I wear it at work and on my days off. Mine runs about a quarter of a minute fast per week. I will likely buy another Orient watch in the future.

In LOVE with my bambino! I swaggerjacked my one friend who had it, then had 3 people swaggerjack me. For ~$200 you’re getting a QUALITY automatic movement with very very respectable finish and attractiveness. I love how the bambino focused on the classy, dress up look. I show my watch nerd friends and no one could guess under $500. Typical automatic watches are $1,000+ on the crappy end - you have to look in the right places I guess. It’s been accurate and has held up very well with 99% use on my wrist as my daily. Seriously, this is a MUST for anyone looking for a classy Go Anywhere Do Anything (GADA) watch.

Beautiful watch with a classic sophisticated look. The band squeaks. Hopefully it will stop when broken in. Shipping was slower than expected. Overall I’m satisfied

What a great watch! I bought the black dial version, and at this price point I think it's a perfect dress watch that can also double as a dressy/casual piece. The 38mm size fits comfortably on my 7" wrist, and I really like the dark blue seconds hand mounted in the contrasting small silver dial. The Orient name below the small logo at twelve o'clock balances out the seconds hand dial, and the small date window is a subtle addition. Bottom line? If you want an affordable automatic movement timepiece ,and you like how this looks . . . buy it! Well done Orient!

Love Love Love the dial, weight and the size. The movement is pretty decent and has been holding within 10-15s a day, better than the Seiko 4R. The watch is thin and the power reserve is pretty great. The 38mm size is perfect for a dress watch and looks great on my wrist (6.25”-6.5”). The hands are polished and change color depending on the light angle. Seconds hand hides the ”water resistance” text that Orient normally has so this looks sophisticated. The only con is the leather strap that is squeaky and doesn’t feel premium at all.
