Works perfect for smaller gauge wires. I used in my vehicle for splicing into existing wires.

Used these to splice a car stereo harness to an adapter harness for my car. I didn't want to cut off the existing stereo connector (or splice wire ends together) so I opted for this instead. These taps worked perfectly for the data wires, but the power and ground were a bit too thick. I ended up clipping away at the plastic on the tap and eventually got them closed well. They probably would have worked without the clipping, but they didn't snap closed and that was a concern.Powering the stereo, it seems all the connections work. I'm getting speaker sounds all around so all the taps made the connections they were meant to. They got the job done and I'm pleased with it.

Great product, very solid. I like the all copper construction conductor. You can reuse these, but if you're careful only.
