This has been rock solid paired with Home Assistant using a Sonoff custom installed via HACS, it’s needs a neutral wire to install. I was lucky enough to have my electrician run neutral wires to all our light switches while working on a renovation project. I’d previously been using a Tuya alternative which wasn’t as reliable this Sonoff switch blows that out of the water. It has great connectivity to my 2.4ghz WiFi access points (I have never experienced any dropouts). Theres no need for capacitor when using them with LED lights (you need that for Tuya alternative that don’t use a neutral wire) It didn’t quite fit in my junction box because of all the cables in there, I had to use a spacer which added a little bulk but I don’t mind as it’s in our storage room.

Anyone having problems connecting these light switches please read. There's a certain way to do it especially if it says you need a hub to connect. You dont!! Download or open Ewelink app, press the + button (top right) to add new device and select SCAN. Scan QR code on the back of booklet that comes with the switch. Simply follow the steps asked. Should automatically add to smartthings and alexa if linked.

Replaced 2 gang light switch with this 3 way > 2 smart light switches and 3rd turns Sony TV on/off - no neutral - no problemo No good for a single light switch as std uk wiring has no neutral, BUT for a 2 way >>> Swapped out the 'spare' live feed in the 2nd ceiling rose for a neutral supply - remove brown (or red) sheath to expose original blue (or black) for correct indication. So switch wiring becomes:- Switch 1 T&E 1) Light 1 permanent Live (brown) > Live feed to smart switch (brown) 2) Light 1 switched Live (brown) > Live to light 1 (brown) 3) Light 1 earth (gr/yel) Switch 2 T&E 4) Light 2 permanent Live (brown) > NOW BECOMES NEUTRAL (blue) 5) Light 2 switched Live (brown) > Live to light 1 (brown) 6) Light 2 earth Light 1 - wiring stays as is Light 2 - REPURPOSE permanent Live (brown) as no longer required as a neutral supply (blue) to the switch And if you want to use the 3rd switch for something completely different, you can program it as a thread matter switch for just about anything :) Oh, Gamechanger >>> if the wifi is dead << THE PHYSICAL SWITCHES STILL WORK >> to turn on/off your lights And turning your lights off on your phone outside the house is quite cool too, as well as setting up timers and triggers/schedules

I wired it into a very basic oil boiler heating system. I use channel one for hot water, two for upstairs heating and three for downstairs heating. I can now control my heating remotely, and set timers through Alexa or e we link app. it’s a cheap way of gaining smart control.
