Review: This item arrived damaged, but I'm keeping it anyways because I don't want to go through the hassle or wait time of replacing it. The workbook itself is excellent. It's an exceptional resource. As others have mentioned, I cringed a bit at the occasional unintentionally nonaffirming language, but it has been enlightening enough that I have chosen to ignore those missteps. Hopefully someday they will amend it for future readers. Easily 5 stars without those issues. Review: This is a game changer for those that have been diagnosed in adult hood and are looking for “okay what now?” Or, “Is there anything I can do to cope better?” It guides you through exactly that. Not an overwhelming book to take in at all and I love that every chapter has actual questions and diagrams for you to fill out to really challenge you to think about your autistic journey.

Beware that this is a Large Print version of the book. It is very unpleasant to read because the text is extremely blown up while the graphics (including the lines for your notes and tables with text) were left in the normal size. It looks completely disproportionate and like a horribly designed paper from a 4th grader. For me and my reading style it is unreadable. Also the content doesn’t seem right for me (I only peaked because it is so unpleasant on the eyes). The title is somewhat misleading because it is not for autistic adults who may be just discovering that they are autistic and have been masking their whole lives. I was expecting more of a discovery tour to even find out what part of the person is the mask and what is their genuine selves behind it.

I was recently diagnosed with level 2 Autism and was wondering whats next? I only started using this book last night and im already hooked. Definitely recommended getting if you are newly diagnosed or even if youve been diagnosed a while but left feeling what next. It helps you work out who to tell and how they may respond. Ive already learnt so much about myself within the first few pages and I feel heard.

As someone who was recently diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, the neuro-affirmative language and presentation of this book is exactly what we were looking for as a family. (We are all neurodivergent). It is written by someone with Autism for people with Autism and embraces our needs, beliefs, and abilities to fit into a neurotypical society while maintaining our uniqueness as neurodivergent people. We have a right to be exactly who we are, and this book encompasses strategies and gives examples of how we can flourish and maintian who we are without masking.
