A Premium Typing Experience
After about a week of daily use, the Keychron Q1 HE has completely transformed my typing experience. Every keystroke feels deliberate and precise—the keys have a soft-touch surface that’s comfortable for extended use, and the action is crisp without being too loud. Compared to my entry-level Keychron C2 (Keychron Brown switches), this board is noticeably quieter and smoother, while still delivering satisfying feedback. The build quality is outstanding. The aluminum frame gives the keyboard a solid, premium feel, and there’s zero flex even with heavier typing. It’s a sturdy desk companion that feels like it’s built to last a lifetime. Being a hall-effect switch keyboard, the Q1 HE lets you adjust actuation points per key—something I haven’t fully explored yet since I’m not a serious gamer, but it’s a very cool feature for those who want ultra-responsive input - as low as 0.1mm! One of my favorite features is the ease of configuration. Through the Keychron launcher web-app, you can remap keys and tweak settings without downloading any bloated software. And for those who want full control, the keyboard supports flashing custom firmware. Pros: • Excellent typing feel: soft-touch keys with crisp, quiet actuation • Hall Effect switches allow adjustable actuation points • Sturdy, premium aluminum frame • Seamless switching between up to 3 Bluetooth devices • Easy customization via web app—no software install needed! • Option to flash custom firmware for advanced users • Hot-swappable switches for easy modding • Customizable, south-facing RGB gives a nice subtle glow Cons: • On the heavier side—less portable than plastic keyboards • Premium price point (but justified by build and features) • Advanced features like adjustable actuation may be underutilized by casual users • Can only set individual RGB colors with custom QMK firmware Overall, the Q1 HE delivers a polished, functional, and enjoyable typing experience with the flexibility and durability to match. It’s an excellent upgrade for anyone looking to invest in a high-quality mechanical keyboard that will last a lifetime and feels as good as it performs.

Perfect Keyboard, with an small issue
I don't even know how to start this review. Well, I have to admit that I was not sure about getting this keyboard. I have been using a Ducky One 60% layout to play FPS games, however, I wanted to have a keyboard that would allow me to control the volume and also that has arrow keys, a keyboard that I can use for gaming and productivity. Since I have heard a lot about Wooting keyboards, I wanted to try a keyboard with a hall effect switch. I The Keychron Q1 HE is everything I was looking for, the build quality is superb, and the keycaps are one of the best I have ever used. The feeling of the keyboard for typing and gaming is super quiet and I don't have to worry about waking my wife while gaming. This is a heavy keyboard in a very good way, the hall effect switches are super nice, and the web software is super intuitive and easy to use. There is almost nothing to complain about. The only few things are that this keyboard does not have adjustable feet, so you are stuck with the default position, however, is not bad at all. Another thing is that when I set the actuation point of the S key to less than 0.5 the key will somehow stuck, this was very frustrating while I was gaming. I did not have any problem with the other keys that I set to 0.2 actuation point they worked just fine my only problem was with that specific key, I don't know if this is a defective key or if that was a software-related problem. I was able to work around this issue by setting the S key to the 1.0 actuation point. Overall, I am super pleased with this keyboard, I will continue buying more keyboards from this brand they are top-of-the-line products. I will recommend this product to anyone who wants a keyboard in a small form factor for gaming, media, and typing.

Expensive but Worth It
As someone who works in an office at a computer for 8-12 hours a day having a nice keyboard is something I really appreciate and this is definitely a very nice keyboard. Everyone loves the sound these switches making and you can definitely feel how durable this thing is. However while being very durable it is definitely very heavy as well with the metal base. Super comfy to use and I love the button layout on this so not having the numpad and just having the essential other keys to make it more compact was perfect for me. I can't speak to the battery life on it due to the fact I just keep it plugged in unfortunately. Due note this is very heavy to travel with. Little heavier then my 17" gaming laptop. To me as someone who spends a lot of time on a computer and enjoys hearing switches it's definitely worth it. If you don't enjoy hearing switches definitely not something for you. PROS Durable Comfortable Smaller Nice Sounding Switches CONS Heavy Switches are kind of loud but not necessarily unpleasant

Keychron is the king of prebuilt
This keyboards quality is unmatched. The machined frame adds so much weight it feels like a tank. Quality of the finish is perfect too and looks great on your desk. HE keys are so easy to type with and sound great too. Overall the value offered here is unmatched.

Well-Built and Smooth Performance
The Keychron Q1 HE is a solid, high-quality keyboard. The magnetic switches offer a smooth and responsive typing experience, and the customization options are a nice bonus. It has a hefty, premium feel on the desk and performs well for both work and gaming. A bit pricey, but overall it delivers on what it promises and is definitely the best keyboard I have owned to date by a large margin.

(Build Quality & Design) 5/5 The keyboard boasts an impressive full-aluminum body, giving it a premium feel that screams durability and sophistication. It’s built like a tank, feels substantial, and has a Double-Gasket Design. (Connectivity & Compatibility) 5/5 One of the standout features is the triple connectivity options, allowing you to use the keyboard wired, via Bluetooth, or with a wireless dongle. Seamlessly switching between Mac and Windows with a dedicated toggle is a game-changer, especially for those working across multiple systems. (Customization & Flexibility) 3/5 While the keyboard is marketed as hot-swappable, it does come with a caveat: you’re limited to switches approved and listed on their website. This restriction might disappoint those who enjoy experimenting with various switches. Additionally, the south-facing switches limit the compatibility with keycap sets and RGB illumination. (Software Experience) 4/5 The weakest link in this otherwise stellar keyboard is the web app. Updating the keyboard is more of a chore than it should be. For a product at this level, I expected a smoother user experience. Hopefully, future updates will address these shortcomings. However, they offer a lot of other features (Dynamic Rapid Trigger, Multiple Actions, One Keystroke, (Conclusion) Overall, I will give it 5/5 because it offers much of what I need, and I like the design. It’s an excellent keyboard with standout hardware and connectivity, but software and customization limitations hold it back from being perfect.
